2024 – A Donnybrook in the Making

The 2024 presidential election is shaping up to be the wildest, most confusing election in our history and I believe that we will begin seeing twists and turns over the next several months the likes of which nobody could have imagined.

I believe that by the end of this summer, the campaign landscape will look quite different than it does today, and quite possibly on both sides of the aisle. To understand all that is about to happen, and to fully be prepared for the donnybrook to come, we need to stand back and look at the bigger picture.

Yes, we have key players on both sides of the political aisle and those key players, Trump on the right, and Biden on the left, are both facing demons…some of their own making, and others not, but to think either will emerge from their troubles unscathed is just plain short-sighted.

Bud Light and the Woke Dystopian Shakedown

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, otherwise known as the HSBC has downgraded Anheuser-Busch InBev stock to hold amid a “crisis” following Bud Light’s marketing campaign featuring transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

According to Carlos Laboy, the managing director at HSBC’s global beverage sector, “There are deeper problems than ABI admit.”

Gee…ya think?

The most recent figures show that Bud Light sales are off better than 26% over last year, and the plunge didn’t start until the self-inflicted disaster of Bud Light’s partnership with Dylan Mulvaney. That raises a couple of good questions. How did Anheuser-Busch get the risk assessment so terribly wrong, and are they hiring the best people in their marketing department to gauge risk vs reward?

As the Bud Light saga continues, one thing has become perfectly clear…at the bottom of a deep hole, Anheuser-Busch continues to use a bigger shovel.

Last week, the “trans community” a community that comprises less than one percent of the American population issued a terse hissy-fit of a letter to Anheuser-Busch. That letter, from The Human Rights Campaign Jay Brown read, in part, “At this moment, it is absolutely critical for Anheuser-Busch to stand in solidarity with Dylan and the trans community. However, when faced with anti-LGBTQ+ and transphobic criticism, Anheuser-Busch’s actions demonstrate a profound lack of fortitude in upholding its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion to employees, customers, shareholders, and the LGBTQ+ community.”

Bud (No Wiser) Doubles Down on Stupid

Well, here we are, a scant two weeks since I penned the commentary, “Drunk On Woke, Bud Goes Broke” and it’s already time for an update.

To refresh your memory like an ice-cold Miller Lite, Anheuser Busch hired what I referred to as “woke liberal arts major who has been indoctrinated most likely throughout her government “education” and certainly at some asylum of higher indoctrination,” by the name of Alissa Heinerscheid as their VP of Marketing, and in her bubble of wokeness, she decided that the way to attract what she called a younger demographic was to ““to evolve and elevate this incredibly iconic brand,” by partnering with Dylan Mulvaney, a dude pretending to be a woman.

Mulvaney is a “social media influencer” which is a fancy term for an abject moron.

To be even more clear regarding the subject of misgendering, there are men out there, who are pretending to be women and women pretending to be men who PRETEND to be offended when someone CORRECTLY identifies their true gender

No Answers Expected, But I have Questions

As our country, and our culture devolves further into the abyss the more questions I have. I don’t really expect answers as most of the questions seem to be directed to abject idiots, but ask them I will.

For instance, a couple of weeks ago, Jill Biden and Tony Blinkin presented the “Women” of Courage award…on International Women’s Day…to a dude. Now I realize that liberals have a collective brain fart when it comes to defining the word “woman” but seriously, shouldn’t one of the main criteria for receiving a “women” of courage award be having made it through at least one period?

For that matter, shouldn’t a couple of the primary considerations for being in the running for that particular award be never in your life having a pair of attached balls or having garned the nickname “Testiculese” in gym class after getting nutted while playing dodge ball?

I’ll get back to the whole “trans” thing before I’m done, but here a few other things that make me ask questions of abject idiots…

Lori Lightfoot – Chicago’s Nero

Just a day before Chicago’s mayoral election, Lori Lightfoot went off on Time Magazine for NOT giving HER the same boost they once gave Rahm Emanuel. Lightfoot played the race card, which is what elected black officials do when things aren’t going their way.

According to the soon to be ex Mayor of the Windy City, “I remember Rahm Emanuel appearing on the cover of Time Magazine, the headline was basically like: ‘Tough guy for Chicago.’ No woman or woman of color is ever going to get that headline.”

Lightfoot claimed that she had been judged “harshly as a black woman.”

Interesting.

In making that statement, Lightfoot admits that she should have been judged on the basis of the color of her skin rather than on the content of her character, and essentially what she said was that because of her skin color, the bar should have been lowered with regard to expectations. In other words, less should have been expected of her because she’s black.

That’s crap, and no self-respecting black person should agree with her.

Recently, Dr. Phil did a show entitled, “Defunding the Police: A Failure or a Fallacy?,” and he did what he usually does…he tried to air both sides of the issue and give the people involved squishy treatment by agreeing with them…up to a point.

One of the people on that show was a fellow by the name of, Mychal Denzel Smith. Smith is a podcaster who is decidedly anti-police and told Dr. Phil and the audience that he doesn’t see any need FOR the police.

Naturally, Dr. Phil questioned Smith regarding that stance and Smith said, “When I say, ‘Oh I don’t believe that there’s a need for police,’ what I’m saying is that there has been so little investment in creating the conditions under which police would not be necessary.”

I have no idea what that means, but Smith wasn’t finished.

Donald Trump was the right man for the job in 2016, and despite liberal efforts to subvert his presidency, he rose above the firestorm of manufactured allegations to set our country on the right track both domestically, and on the world stage. He was the right man then.

He is not the right man for 2024.

As convinced of that as I am right now, I will support him should he run and garner the nomination, a nomination that I believed (past tense) was his for the taking just a few short weeks ago, but now…today…I believe gaining that nomination is, at best, an uphill battle.

I say that based on what I saw last Tuesday in the midterm election.

The Land of Oz – A Cautionary Tale

Let’s be honest, you would have an easier time finding Atlantis, or whatever happened to the bits and pieces of whatever crashed near Roswell in 1947 than you would have finding the Land of Oz.

“The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by Frank Baum, was a tale of the downfall of the populist movement of the late 1800s. It was a satire regarding the political, economic, and social situation that existed in this country at the dawn of a new century. Oz is the abbreviation for an ounce, which happens to be how we measure gold. The yellow brick road was the gold you followed to get whatever you desired.

To Frank Baum, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” wasn’t a children’s fairy tale, it was political satire, and that becomes more than evident when you read from the stage production penned by Baum himself in 1902, in which the Tin Woodsman wonders about his fate should he run out of oil, to which the scarecrow responds, “You wouldn’t be as badly off as John D. Rockefeller. He’d lose six thousand dollars a minute if that happened.”
