2016 – Too Many Hats in the Ring

By Craig Andresen – The National Patriot and Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.net

Why are they running or, at the very least, even thinking of running?ran 1

That is the question that must be asked regarding several potential Republican presidential candidates as the time to go fishing or cut bait for 2016 is directly upon us.

Mike Huckabee…a nice enough guy and the former Governor of Arkansas has announced that he intends to announce on May 5th but why? Why would he or SHOULD he be throwing HIS hat in the ring?

He ran in 2008…he came in 2nd…soooo…he has a chance in 2016? Well…no…not at all because that 2nd place finish was such a DISTANT 2nd place it’s almost as though he never ran at all. McCain, in 2008, the establishment choice garnered some 1,378 delegates to become the nominee while Huckabee only managed to scrape together a mere 240.

In 2012…Huckabee looked good in the pre-race polling but, declined to enter the race at all so…why NOW? Is he basing his 2016 run on a distant 2008 2nd place finish and a never ran at all 2012 election?

Rick Perry Indicted for Having Integrity

fart 1Everything is bigger in Texas…even the brain farts.

Honestly, I don’t quite know how else to explain what is happening in Texas with the indictment of Governor Rick Perry.

It’s nothing short of a MASSIVE liberal brain fart.

They have indicted Perry for what? A VETO? He vetoed a bill which would have funded the Texas ethics watchdog, the Public Integrity Unit under the “leadership” of one Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg.

According to the Travis County Texas grand jury, Perry ABUSED his power as the Governor by first THREATENING to use his veto to defund the unit and then…by actually DOING what he SAID he would do.

Here’s the crux of it all…

Travis County DA Rosemary Lehmberg, a liberal elected official was in charge of the INTEGRITY unit when she got pulled over for…DRIVING DRUNK last year. That’s right…the very person who was in charge of making sure that the INTEGRITY of Texas politics was up to par was driving drunk. She got arrested and tossed into the drunk tank to dry out where she, Rosemary Lehmberg, got belligerent with the local law enforcement folks.

She pitched quite the fit because, it seems, Lehmberg didn’t seem to think SHE should be treated just like every OTHER drunk on the road.

SHE, in what little was left of her mind, figured SHE was SPECIAL. Well, here…see for yourself…

One Rick Drops Out…The Other Supports SOPA?

And then there were 4 in a 2-man race.

In South Carolina, tonight, 4 will stand on the debate stage as Rick Perry has officially dropped out of the GOP race for the nomination.

Yes, 4 – but in reality, at least in South Carolina this Saturday, it’s a 2-man race between Romney and Gingrich.

Rick Santorum will come in 3rd and Ron Paul will be emptying the trash cans after the polls close.

That’s just the way it is.

As Perry drops out and throws his support to Newt, Santorum is left trying to bolster support from evangelicals but, it’s just not going to be enough. Not enough as well is the news this morning that Santorum actually won in Iowa.

What the Iowa numbers do, though they will never be 100% confirmed, is to keep Mitt from wining the first 2 states. That is something which had never been done before and regardless of what Iowa officials are calling a tie, Santorum’s plus 34 makes HIM the winner there.

It’s a win with an * for Santorum and a loss with an * for Romney as there are 8 precincts which lost their ballots most likely never to be seen again.

While all eyes now focus like lasers on South Carolina, Iowa has managed to relegate themselves OUT of the picture maybe permanently. Iowa will probably make some adjustments to the way they cast, count and tally Caucus votes in the future, but they will be thought of for a long time as the Florida of the heartland.

Perry Gives the Standard Response of a 6-Year Old

Yesterday, it came across GretaWire that the source, or at the very least, A source of the Herman Cain sexual harassment story over the weekend was Chris Wilson, a supporter of and pollster for Rick Perry – and that fact was revealed by Politico, the site that broke the Cain piece to start with.

I had mentioned earlier in the day yesterday in my piece, The Cain Scandal -Problematic but Not Yet Dire, “While this looks, for all the world, to be a bit of dirt dug up by a fellow GOP candidate, I’ll guess Perry as he’s slipping fast, and may be a lot of nothing, it will pale in comparison to the attacks which will come from the liberal machine should Cain actually garner the nomination; and if Cain, with 10 days advanced warning on this wasn’t prepared, some changes must be made and be made quickly.”

After the GretaWire piece broke yesterday in my article, Perry Dug the Dirt on Cain and Shoots Himself in the Foot I stated, “When I watched Perry over the weekend being so giddy in a speech, it was clear he knew something the rest of us didn’t and it was his jabbing at Cain during that speech which tipped me off.”

Perry Dug the Dirt on Cain and Shoots Himself in the Foot

Rick Perry has some damage control to do and he had better do it fast and strong or his campaign is over. This morning in an article regarding the Cain situation I tapped Perry as the source and now, low and behold, it has been revealed that it was his campaign which put the smear hit on Herman Cain.

A Perry pollster and supporter dug the dirt and let it fly against Cain and to me, it comes as no surprise.

Perry has been slipping fast and he’s desperate.

Perry, in order to save what’s left of his campaign will have to fire Chris Wilson and detatch from anything to do with the smear but NOT before issuing an IN PERSON and heartfelt PUBLIC apology to Herman Cain.

When I watched Perry over the weekend being so giddy in a speech, it was clear he knew something the rest of us didn’t and it was his jabbing at Cain during that speech which tipped me off.

While I couldn’t be sure, the red flag was waving leading me this morning in my piece, “The Cain Scandal -Problematic but Not Yet Dire” to say, “While this looks, for all the world, to be a bit of dirt dug up by a fellow GOP candidate, I’ll guess Perry as he’s slipping fast, and may be a lot of nothing, it will pale in comparison to the attacks which will come from the liberal machine should Cain actually garner the nomination; and if Cain, with 10 days advanced warning on this wasn’t prepared, some changes must be made and be made quickly.”

While Republicans would have taken Obama or liberals to task over a tactic such as this, I would expect them to do likewise to one of their own.

I will.

Perry was looking for dirt, an advantage, something to bring a GOP rival down rather that to build himself up and he found it in a decade old story.

There are only 2 ways for Perry to get out of this.

1)      This story had better have a concrete foundation of evidence against Herman Cain

2)      If there is no concrete evidence, Perry needs to drop out, taking full responsibility for what has happened along with firing this Wilson character.

For now, Rick Perry is done!

Does the GOP Need a Game Changer or a Game Winner?

Am I the only one who thinks, the more we hear from Rick Perry…The LESS we’re GOING to be hearing from Rick Perry? It’s because we’re learning more and more about candidate Perry and we’re learning it from HIM and this guy, every time he speaks, seems to be taking direct aim at his own foot.

Perry’s demise is going to come at the hands of his own policies and chief among them, his stance on illegal aliens.

Perry stands WITH the idea of allowing those in our country, specifically in Texas, to receive in-state tuition breaks and that is a direct salvo fired at a very stout Tea Party tenant. Perry can’t back away from this issue, even though now, I’m sure he would like to. Perry made this a law in Texas – and now, he’s stood firmly behind his policy on the debate stage. He went so far as to state that anyone against such a policy is heartless.
