A Question for the Anybody But Mitt Crowd

Over a considerable amount of time and through the ability to do copious amounts of research, I have become reasonably good at figuring out political quandaries.

I don’t always get it exactly right but, I honestly wish I weren’t right as often as I am.

Finding the answers to questions regarding political ideology, political history, how dots are connected and the end games of certain politicians have become a passion.

I’d like to think I’ve become pretty good at it.

Currently, however, the answer to a most perplexing political question eludes me.

I’m asking for your help.

There is no cash prize involved, like the sum given to the brilliant mind which created the $50.00 light bulb but rest assured, you’ll have my unending gratitude.

Please, somebody…Explain to me exactly how…

Splitting the 2012 presidential vote between Romney, Gingrich, Paul, Cain, Palin, Johnson, Dummett, Tittle and any other number of known or unknown candidates of personal choice will defeat Obama.

Conservatives agree, after all, that Obama needs to be defeated and that if he isn’t, the situation is dire.

In that, at least, there IS agreement.

Thus, the quandary…

If Issues Rule the Day, Conservatives Win in November

Yesterday, in our article titled, “Obama on a High Wire,” we outlined the flip flopping of the Emperor as a signal of desperation regarding several recent issues.

The fact is, as Obama flips his positions, his policies continue to flop.

It’s time for the GOP candidates to stop attacking one another and start pointing out their individual fundamental differences with Obama.

While there is some danger in elevating to a “general election” campaign before the convention, this election year seems to be one bent on rule breaking. Obama feels safe in a lot of this because for the GOP candidates to go after him on certain issues, they open the door for counter attacks.

Here is the real problem. Show us a candidate who hasn’t flipped or flopped on an issue and we’ll show you a unicorn.

Rick Santorum and his different positions regarding right to work. Romney and Romneycare vs Obamacare. Newt on Global Warming. Ron Paul adding earmarks INTO bills just so he can then vote AGAINST the bill…All of them have their issues in this regard.

Obama on a High Wire

The desperation of the Emperor to remain in power is beginning to show. For all his talk over the last 3 years regarding driving the car, Obama is about to drop the transmission out of it due to jamming the gears.

In the last couple of days, the Emperor has gone from 100 miles per hour into reverse without even slowing down.

First, it was his blink of an eye reversal on super PAC money.

A couple of years ago, the Emperor scolded the Supreme Court Justices during his State of the Union speech for allowing unlimited Super PAC funding for candidates.

Just a couple of days ago, the Emperor again talked about Super PAC funding being wrong.

Then, yesterday, Obama jammed it into reverse urging Super PAC financiers to pour money into HIS campaign.

Liberals are scoffing at any mention of hypocrisy saying if it’s good for Republicans, it’s good for liberals too – but in doing so, they must completely ignore the fact that while Republicans never took a stance against it…Obama DID.

HIS reversal on this topic is the very definition of hypocrisy.

Putting the Polls and the Debates in Perspective

It’s time I think, to take another look at the GOP field with regards to the debates and their positions in the polls. While there is plenty to cover, it can actually be boiled down rather neatly if you know at what to look.

To start with, let’s look at the debates.

It would take days to cover each and every little nuance of all the debates thus far and doing so would likely yield little in the way of usefulness. Not that what these candidates have said ISN’T useful, it’s just not where we need to focus for the purpose of this article.

In What America do YOU Believe?

Has the fool on the hill finally seen the light? Has Obama started to come around to OUR side? It certainly seems like it if you listen to the words he is now employing on his latest campaign swing.

“If you get sick, you’re on your own. If you can’t afford college, you’re on your own. If you don’t like that some corporation is polluting your air or the air that your child breathes, then you’re on your own.”

Sounds a lot like…Self Reliance to me.

Here’s the code.

Obama = Big Government.

On your own = Self Reliance

2012…Win It or Lose It…It’s Up To Conservatives

Ron Paul followers believe that ONLY Ron Paul can save the country. They are wrong. Sarah Palin’s supporters believe that only Sarah Palin can save this country. They are wrong. The same can be said of almost all of the supporters of the individuals in the GOP field, and they are wrong.

The sooner conservatives come to this realization, the sooner we can start saving this nation; but in order to reach this realization, conservatives must come to grips with a few things.

1)     NO One Candidate Can Save This Nation.

It’s a simple premise – which will probably have some conservatives up in arms – but it’s true. No ONE single candidate can do it because no ONE single candidate is capable of doing it alone no matter who it is and no matter how hard that candidate’s followers or supporters are clinging to them.

Does the GOP Need a Game Changer or a Game Winner?

Am I the only one who thinks, the more we hear from Rick Perry…The LESS we’re GOING to be hearing from Rick Perry? It’s because we’re learning more and more about candidate Perry and we’re learning it from HIM and this guy, every time he speaks, seems to be taking direct aim at his own foot.

Perry’s demise is going to come at the hands of his own policies and chief among them, his stance on illegal aliens.

Perry stands WITH the idea of allowing those in our country, specifically in Texas, to receive in-state tuition breaks and that is a direct salvo fired at a very stout Tea Party tenant. Perry can’t back away from this issue, even though now, I’m sure he would like to. Perry made this a law in Texas – and now, he’s stood firmly behind his policy on the debate stage. He went so far as to state that anyone against such a policy is heartless.
