The Albatross That Is Quid Pro Quo

The albatross is a superstitious relic written about in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” In that poem the narrator killed the bird and his fellow sailors eventually forced him to carry the burden of his crime by wearing the dead bird around his neck. Ever since, the albatross has become a metaphor for a psychological burden that feels like a curse.

The Democrat party has an albatross, a burden that is a curse from which they have but one means of escape…they must remove said albatross from their ship. And that albatross is Joe Biden. He’s in trouble…deep trouble…and the peril for his party is real if they fail to cast the albatross overboard for the trouble Joe Biden is in is much more than political, it’s legal in nature and it’s international in scope. The peril for his party is of his party’s own doing as they continue backing Biden out of a combination of desperation, arrogance, and hatred of Biden’s foe in the upcoming election…President Donald J. Trump.

We want to be very clear here that while desperation over losing the 2016 election and a defacto third term in office for Obama…with Hillary Clinton being but the facade of power in the U.S…coupled with the arrogance of the Democrat party feeling that they were entitled to a third Obama term to finish the “fundamental transformation of America” into a socialist state, did and still does indeed play a significant role in this dire saga. And it’s not blind faith in Joe Biden that has driven the Democrat party to the brink of political disaster…it’s simply their blind hatred of President Trump which has now led them to the edge of the abyss.

Trump’s Call Declassified – Coup Attempt Exposed

About a week ago, some unnamed “whistleblower” made an allegation regarding a phone call President Trump had last July with President Zelensky of Ukraine, and all hell started to break loose.

Liberals, and even more moderate democrats, without knowing who the “whistleblower” was, without any knowledge of what was said in the phone call, and with zero evidence whatsoever, ramped up their call to impeach President Trump because, they said, he had obviously done something very, very bad…something highly illegal, and in direct violation of the Constitution.

Let’s be really, really clear here…those impeachment bloviating liberals and democrats had not even seen the actual “whistleblower” complaint.

The one thing they did know, was that whoever that “whistleblower” was, he, or she, wasn’t even in the room when the phone call in question took place.

But whatever was said, the liberals and democrats were sure it was bad. Very…very bad.

Another Day, Another Witch Hunt

Well, they’re at it again. The democrats are once again trying to blame President Trump for their own misdeeds, and they’ve got their collective panties all wadded up.

At issue this time is a phone call. We can assume it is about a call made by President Trump to the new President of Ukraine near the end of July. We can assume that’s what it is, but we really have no confirmation of that.

Here’s what we knew when this whole goofy thing broke late last week…

An “unnamed” whistleblower from an “unidentified” former intelligence officer as filed an “unknown” complaint about “something” President Trump “allegedly” said to an “unnamed” foreign leader regarding an “unspecified promise” about “some sort” of “concerned conduct” from “outside” of the “intelligence community” that doesn’t relate to “intel activity.”

Naturally, one could see why liberals were hopping mad. No, actually, one couldn’t because given the depth of that near allegation of…something…nobody was exactly sure at that point whether this dealt with misconduct from the Oval Office, or perhaps the Loch Ness monster had…farted.

Did I mention that the “unidentified former intelligence officer” did not have first-hand knowledge of the phone call?

Autopsy of a Failed Coup

“Investigate the investigators if you must. When those investigations are over, they will find the work was done appropriately and focused only on discerning the truth of very serious allegations. There was no corruption. There was no treason. There was no attempted coup. Those are lies, and dumb lies at that.”

That was the latest statement put out as part of an op-ed last week by former FBI Director, James Comey regarding bias in his FBI related to the investigation into the Russian collusion fabrication during the 2016 campaign.

As a result of that investigation, which, let’s face it, was a choreographed, orchestrated witch hunt based on a fraudulent, and manufactured dossier compiled from Russian agents, assembled by a former British spy, and paid for in part by Hillary Clinton, and in part by the FBI itself under James Comey, has caused the majority of the American people to lose faith, and trust in our nation’s top law enforcement agency.

Let me be clear here. There are plenty of good, solid FBI agents working in that agency today, just as there were in 2016, and those good agents should not be held accountable for what a few did, but…

Politburo Rising

Up is down, left is right, right is wrong, and lies equal the truth. That is the liberal view of the world around them, and while it seems like something new, it isn’t.

The decidedly backwards mindset of today’s liberals has nearly always been their calling card, and when they have historically been outed as being on the wrong side of any given issue, they ultimately accuse Republicans of the wrong they, themselves commit.

We all know that it was Hillary and the democrats who were engaged in collusion with the Russians leading up to the 2016 election, and Uranium One is proof positive of that. It was Hillary and the democrats who conspired with Russian agents to manufacture the Steele dossier which would then be used in an attempt to frame first candidate, and later President Trump.

Biden’s Boondoggle – Healthcare for Illegals

Last week, Joe Biden was asked whether illegal immigrants “should be entitled to federal benefits like Medicare, Medicaid.”

His response was stunning, but not unexpected.

“Look, I think that anyone who is in a situation where they are in need of health care, regardless of whether they are documented or undocumented, we have an obligation to see that they are cared for.”

“An obligation?”

We are obliged to take care of people who have entered our country illegally? We’re obliged to provide healthcare, at American citizen’s taxpayer expense to those who are illegally in our country, who are breaking our nation’s laws by setting foot in our country, and who are making a mockery of our nation’s rule of law?

Liberals should be ashamed of themselves, but perhaps not for the reasons most Conservatives are thinking of right now.

Illegal Aliens, Liberals and the 5th Element

The rotten egg that is sanctuary cities is about to explode in the faces of liberals, and they are not the least bit happy about it.

Such liberals have for years advocated for, and built their cities into such sanctuary cities, where illegal aliens, criminals by choice who have entered our country illegally can live, most of them sponging off of American taxpayer dollars, without fear of being detained or deported.

Sanctuary cities are where the lawless illegal aliens go because it is their safe space, and because in those sanctuary cities, liberals protect them. Liberals pitch a fit when you suggest building a wall to keep them out…but suggest to liberals that they turn their city into a sanctuary city…and they dance with glee in the streets.

Suggest to liberals that you’re going to cut off their sanctuary city’s gravy train…that you’re going to discontinue the flow of federal dollars to their sanctuary city…and you know what happens next…

A Martyr to Idiocy

John Allen Chau’s name has been splashed all over the news lately, and all over social media. To some, he’s seen as heroic…as some sort of martyr.

The holier-than-thou crowd is putting this guy on a pedestal.

Normally, I wouldn’t give a guy like Chau two minutes of thought, but I’ll make an exception in this case because the notion of raising this guy to a level of near sainthood despite the reality of the situation is so absurd that it simply grinds on my nerves.

Those who are actively elevating this guy, Chau, past any reasonable level are doing nothing but trying to justify their own agenda in a cloaked, self-serving manner.

Where John Allen Chau is concerned…it’s high time for a dose of reality…and here it is…
