Joe Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency announced the new regulations for semi trucks last week and officials say they represent the strongest-ever greenhouse gas emissions standards of their kind. The new rules will kick in beginning in 2026 for model year 2027 vehicles and progressively become more stringent through model year 2032, forcing a larger number of trucks and buses to be zero-emissions in that time frame.

It’s yet another deep bow to the liberal religion of “climate change” as the insane idea is to make long-haul semis carbon zero by 2032 by mandate, but just like the nonsense behind mandating electric cars, there are problems…BIG problems.

Let’s start with the obvious, the cost of the damned things. We’re talking between $250,000 and $500,000 per truck, and most independent truckers simply can’t afford that sort of hit. The most inexpensive electric semis right now are Tesla semis, at around $250,000 each. But there’s a problem with the Tesla trucks, and for that matter, all electric semis…their range.

Friday Fume

fume 1As I sat down to hammer out this week’s attitude-laced week in review, I really wanted to go off on Hillary’s new book and signing tour but…in the grand scheme of things…635 pages of toilet paper pales in the light of other decidedly liberal/socialist stupidity.

It’s been a tough week to be a liberal and I’m sure they’re getting dizzy from all the spinning they’ve been doing while trying to get out of the hole they keep digging for themselves.

How about we all take a break from pulling our hair out and spend a few minutes giving liberals, socialists and their collective ilk all the credit they deserve?

My friends…It’s Friday and…

I’m fuming.

Just a couple of days ago, there was quite the scene taking place just outside the white house.

It was shortly before 3:00 pm when reporters were starting to file in for their daily dose of regime propaganda when a fellow approached the security gate and told the Secret Service that he had a 3 o’clock appointment with, “Mr. Obama.”

He then showed them some foreign driver’s license whereupon  the palace guard promptly told him he would need a U.S. DRIVERS LICENSE or a PASSPORT.

That’s right… a U.S. DRIVERS LICENSE OR A PASSPORT TO GET INTO THE WHITE HOUSE which comes as quite a shock since the dude that LIVES at the white house…APPARENTLY DOESN’T HAVE EITHER ONE but that’s not the most shocking part of all this…

SCREW the (Environ)Mental Cases – BUILD the PIPELINE

The only real obstruction to the Keystone XL pipeline now, much to the dismay of those on work release from (environ)mental asylums, is the Dictator, Obama.

Last Friday, not the 1st or the 2nd, not the 3rd or the 4th environmental impact study regarding that pipeline but, the 5th, and the one that came directly from Obama’s State (of Insanity) Department was released and, just like the previous 4, this one states that there is no environmental reason for NOT  building the 1,179 mile pipeline from Canada to Texas.

A couple of years ago, the greeny weenies complained that the pipeline would cross Nebraska’s Sandhills region and the aquifer but, the Cornhusker state’s Governor, Dave Heineman, ordered a study, found an alternative route avoiding both sensitive areas and, that route was accepted by Canada.

Obama  had pandered to the unions who stand to make bank off the building of the Keystone XL pipeline by delaying parts of Obamacare, just for them.

The problem is, he’s also been pandering to the (environ)mental patients by not signing off on the pipeline.

With Friday’s report, coming from his own administration, Obama now finds himself faced with yet another conundrum.

Does he benefit the United States or China?
