Weekend Edition: The Root Cause of Gun Violence

Liberals, liberal politicians, liberal media and liberal talking heads would like you to believe that a “gun culture” in our country is responsible for gun violence and that, if guns were outlawed, that source of violence would simply disappear.

This is, perhaps, one of the most idiotic beliefs in a boat load of idiotic beliefs held by liberals.

“If guns weren’t sold, gun violence would not be a problem” is what they want you to believe. The GOVERNMENT…Banning guns is their solution to the problem.

At the same time, liberals will go to great lengths to tell you that our prisons are overcrowded because we keep putting drug users, who pose no “real” threat to society, behind bars and we must let them out.

The last time I checked, one cannot buy meth or cocaine, or any number of illegal or, “banned” narcotics in stores .

The drugs being used that send their users to prison have been banned and yet, the users still get them just as those bent on using guns for violence would get then should THEY be banned but liberal logic can’t be bothered with facts or common sense.

Liberals will tell you that should abortions be banned, people will simply get them from unreliable sources in back alleys.

Where, exactly, do they think people will get guns should guns be banned?

Chicago has the strictest gun bans in the nation and their gun murder rate is the HIGHEST in the nation but, liberals will tell you that one city doesn’t mean squat in the grand scheme of things.

I give you…

The Obamassiah – More Demon Than Deity

So…

I keep saying that America is going down the proverbial toilet with the Dictator, Obama, at the helm and I continue to be roundly criticized by socialists for stating the clearly obvious.

I write of the indoctrination of today’s youth by socialists and, am criticized by socialists for doing so.

I have written, many times, of how socialists have deemed Obama some sort of Messiah and have been scolded by socialists for making that observation.

Silly, Godless socialists and their Obamassiah.

Perhaps the truth is just too hard for you to grasp.

Now, we have a video.

Maybe seeing for yourselves will help.

Oh…I know this is just one little boy but, trust me, he is not alone.

I don’t know where he learned this. School? God forbid as SOCIALISTS have forbidden prayer in school.

Church?

Maybe, if he goes to one of those progressive Rev. Write “GOD DAMN AMERICA” churches.

Home?

Could be…

Weekend Edition: It Takes A Village Idiot

Before Hillary Clinton wrote a book about it, it was an old African proverb.

We, as conservatives, have railed against the notion but…Should we?

”It takes a village to raise a child.”

As I think back to MY younger days…To a large extent, there WAS a “village” involved.

My friend’s parents were part of that “village” and so was my church. There were the teachers in my schools, older kids who were either good or bad role models, extended family and neighbors.

Primarily, there were my parents but, to be fair, others; many others were involved in some way, shape or form. A “village” of sorts, I suppose and anything you did, right or wrong, good or bad, was seen by SOMEBODY who knew my parents and had no qualms whatsoever in reporting it TOO them.

Maybe it just took a village to keep an eye out.

There IS another old adage…

“Somewhere, a village is missing its idiot.”

The good news is…We have located the missing village idiots.

The bad news is…

Is Penn State a Microcosm of Today’s Society?

When the Rule of Law Falls Beneath the Code of Morals

While we at The National Patriot do not venture off the political stage I am hoping you, our fine readers, will allow something of an exception here.

For more than 40 years, one man has either paced the sidelines or led from the box in Penn State. He has become the most successful coach in college football history. Joe Paterno and his career seem to be finished due to a sex scandal at that school.

Allow me for a moment to add some personal disclosure here. I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and to this day, I am a true dyed in the wool Husker fan. I was attending the University of Nebraska back in the early 1980s when one of the most contentious games ever played between the Huskers and Penn State took place. Penn State won that game with the assistance of a couple of the worst calls ever seen by the officials.

Decades later, Graham Spanier, the current President of Penn State, was the President of the University of Nebraska.
