Why The Gospel Truth Is Anything But

Belief is defined as: “an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. Trust, faith, or confidence in someone or something. Something that is accepted, considered to be true, or held as an opinion : something believed. an individual’s religious or political beliefs. especially : a tenet or body of tenets held by a group.”

Belief, by its very nature requires a degree of uncertainty in that certainty requires proof while belief requires faith in the absence of proof. So, what is faith? Faith is defined as: “strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.”

It would be remiss not to mention that while belief and faith can be disproven by scientific fact, scientific fact cannot be disproven by belief and faith, but before some reading this get too upset, allow me to point out that in some cases, scientific fact has disproven belief and faith in ways that lend credence to some of the stories contained in the Bible.

The Meme and The Mirror

On Easter, I created a meme and posted it to facebook. It was a rather innocuous meme, a play on words in my own snarky style.

That meme quickly became one of the most responded to posts that I have put up in quite some time.

Naturally, there were those who “got it” and those that didn’t. There were those who laughed at it, and those who didn’t. There were, no doubt, many who saw it and just scrolled on by and of course there were those who felt a deep need to post up a comment regarding the post, and regarding me as the poster of the meme.

Many of those who choose to respond to the meme were quick to condemn me for it and some of their comments were downright laughable although I’m rather sure they weren’t trying to garner a chuckle from me.

So it’s Easter weekend, and all across social media I have been seeing Conservative Christians posting all manner of things grousing about possibly of not being allowed to attend Easter Sunday services at their local churches.

Because of this, I feel it has become necessary to apply some common sense to their angst.

In order to do this, I’ll pose a few questions, I’ll make some rather straight forward observations, and I’ll offer some sage advice given the current situation.

Have You Hugged a Terrorist Today?

Mark Zuckerberg had this to say regarding Islamic terrorists and Islamic terrorism…hug 1

“I believe the only sustainable way to fight back against those who seek to divide us is to create a world where understanding and empathy can spread faster than hate. Where every single person in every country feels connected and cared for and loved. That’s the world we can and must build together.”

In 2014, Hillary Clinton said this on the same topic…

“This is what we call smart power. Using every possible tool and partner to advance peace and security. Leaving no one on the sidelines. Showing respect even for one’s enemies. Trying to understand, in so far as psychologically possible, empathize with their perspective and point of view. Helping to define the problems, determine the solutions. That is what we believe in the 21st century will change — change the prospects for peace.”

Last year, in 2015, Obama spewed out this line…

“Efforts to counter violent extremism will only succeed if citizens can address legitimate grievances through the democratic process and express themselves through strong civil societies.”

And it was Marie Harf, the propagandist for John Kerry’s State Department who offered up this take on Islamic terrorists…

Obama’s Mocking of Religion is a Trap

So why exactly is religion…most specifically the Christian religion, under such blistering sniping from liberals?ixt 1

We are seeing this on nearly a daily basis and the new Indiana law is nothing more than the cause du jour for the left. From Al, ‘the reverend’ Sharpton’s buffoonish quote, “This is a key moment for the country. Too often in our history, we’ve seen religion used to justify attacks on other people’s rights, from slavery, to Jim Crow, to women’s right to vote,” likening religious freedom and slavery AND  to Obama’s chastising of Christians on Easter Sunday…“On Easter, I do reflect on the fact that as a Christian, I’m supposed to love, and I have to say that sometimes when I listen to less-than-loving expressions by Christians, I get concerned, but that’s a topic for another day.”

Liberals are quick to condemn religion and to sue over any visage of religion seen in public and they are just as quick to stand up for a freedom FROM religion rather than take up for the Founders and Framers in their vision that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” but to be fair…it is only the second part of THAT statement that lights their delicate, easily offended sensibilities on fire.

So what IS it about religion that liberals find so damn distasteful anyway?

(Good) Friday Fume

This weekend is a weekend of great faith for Christians and Jews the world over and a time when we should all be celebrating as our traditions allow.

It’s Easter.

It’s Passover.

It is a time when our faiths bring us together…when the new and the old testaments find some common ground and a time, whether Jewish or Christian, to celebrate new beginnings.

For liberals and socialists however…

It’s not exactly the same sort of weekend.

Friends and Patriots…grab your eggs and GIRD YOUR LOIN ROASTS because today is Good Friday and…

I’m fuming.

Well, Easter weekend is upon us and up to now, the Easter message has always been clear. That’s where the REVEREND AL “I was FOR the mob before I was AGAINST the mob” SHARPTON comes in.

According to not-so SHARPton…

“I think the message is, that no matter what the world may do to unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified, nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job, that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.”

Friday Fume

friday fume 1Last week, Rev. RAT Al Not-So Sarpton claimed that he was never an FBI informant against the mob.

THIS week he ADMITS he was an FBI informant against the mob AND, he says that calling him a RAT is RACIST and that he SHOULD be thought of as a HERO.

Of course, yesterday…The Smoking Gun released a STING VIDEO of the FAT RAT back in the 80’s MAKING A DEAL TO TAKE POSSESSION OF $350,000 CLAMS WORK OF COCAINE!!!!

MSNBC is probably going to give him a raise.

The house committee has found Lois Lerner in contempt and, if the entire house agrees…The case will go to ERIC HOLDERS office for prosecution.

Ummmmm….

ERIC HOLDER WAS ALSO FOUND TO BE IN CONTEMPT!!!!

And…

When Obama was in Texas a couple of days ago…He met with Wendy “ABORTION BARBIE Davis.

A clear cut case of too little too late if ever there was one.

Replacing Faith with Socialism – Youth Indoctrination

This nation was founded on Judeo-Christian values.

Too bad, socialists but, it’s a fact.

In GOD We Trust.

Socialists want to change that. They DON’T want We the People to trust in GOD…THEY want the SUBJECTS to trust in the GOVERNMENT.

To bring about this “fundamental transformation,” socialists know they must indoctrinate the nation’s youth against the fundamental principles upon which this nation was founded.

That is exactly why socialists have, over the last few decades, usurped the education system via the Teachers Unions and set the agenda, curriculum and standards for education. They, the socialists, own k-12 AND asylums of higher indoctrination as well.

That means…From age 5 through 18, public school socialist instructors are manipulating your children.

From the time your kids are of age to vote through their next 4 years…Longer of they seek an advanced degree, those same socialist soaked sponges are in the hands of Marxists as well.

The Unspoken Miracle of Easter

It is Passover.

It is Easter weekend.

As Christians, we know what happened that weekend and we know why we celebrate it. We have been told the story, “The Greatest Story Ever Told” for most of our lives. We know it.

Don’t we?

We know about the last supper.

We know about the Garden.

We know about Judas and the 30 pieces of silver.

Peter.

We know of the trials and the freeing of Barabbas and the scourging and the washing of Pilot’s hands.

We know of the stations of the cross, the nails, the last words.

We know he was set in the tomb, the stone rolled to cover the opening and the Roman guards.

We know of Mary and the discovery, the words he spoke, Thomas having to touch his hands and feet.

We know the whole story. Don’t we?

What are we missing?

Maundy Thursday…Good Friday…Easter Sunday….

What of Saturday?
