It’s tough, you know?

Not mixing politics and religion.

They, whoever “they” are, say you shouldn’t. At least not in polite company but, we’ve always been polite to one another haven’t we?

What makes the old adage so hard to adhere to, at least for me, as that we may never have had Easter Sunday were it not for politics.

Allow me to explain.

Jesus was a complex man who led a simple life.

He didn’t ask for fame or notice but he did reluctantly accept both. Well, at least to some extent. He knew that wherever he went, he would draw a crowd but he always managed to make the Father the focus of the message.

Shepard. Carpenter. Teacher. Traveler. He didn’t have nor did he want the riches of man. He had faith and that was more than enough.

One thing Jesus was NOT was ostentatious.

Ideology vs Faith – The War on Christmas

The war on Christmas is now in full swing…again.

Godless vermin at the “Freedom From Religion” gateway to hell, located in Madison Wisconsin, are at it…again.

Somehow, they manage to find one, unnamed, source to file a complaint in any town where there is some sort of Christmas tradition.

Alsip Illinois, for 40 years, had erected a cross atop their water tower. It has, over the years, become a tradition and nobody complained…

Up to now…

Suddenly, an UNNAMED source has filed a complaint to the Freedom FROM Religion weasels and THEY, claiming that they try always to fight their war through education or legislation…NOT litigation…

Filed a lawsuit.

Alsip, like many towns, is not raking in the money and rather than get involved in a lengthy and expensive lawsuit, will NOT put their cross on the water tower this year.

You see, the municipality owns the water tower and these freaks in Madison are citing the separation of church and state clause which simply does not exist in the constitution.

Ground Zero Cross – Atheists Have No Prayer

To Atheists,

You’re upset over the inclusion of the Ground Zero Cross in the Memorial Museum. You’re suing over it.

Really?

Well, too bad.

You claim the Cross is causing headaches and, “dyspepsia” among your non believers.

Get over it.

You claim that the Ground Zero Cross is nothing but “an ugly piece of wreckage that does not represent anything … but horror and death.”

I am sure, that to you, that is exactly what it does resemble because, you have no faith. However, the fact that YOU are devoid of faith does not mean others are equally devoid.

That cross, the Ground Zero Cross DOES mean something quite significant to others.
