There WAS a mandate won in this election and it belongs, I believe, to the Tea Party but we’re in danger of drowning it out.
Yesterday was interesting for us on social media.
While most either received our article enthusiastically, there were some just too deflated to muster up the fighting spirit.
There were however, a handful of “also ran” supporters who were just hopping mad.
At me…
For supporting not their particular candidate.
Here’s a prime example:
Samm Tittle ANOTHER BSer. YOUR NAME IS ON OUR SWEAT BOARD RIGHT THIS MINUTE. BELIEVE THE ONLY WOMAN HISPANIC EVANGELICAL W/TIES TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY REACHED OUT TO YOU AND YOU COULD HAVE REALIZED HER STRENGTH TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TODAY. NO .. YOU ARE STUCK WITH THIS PRESIDENT DESTROYER AND YOU WANT US TO READ YOUR WHAT? THE ONLY PATRIOT THAT WAS RUNNING IN THE RACE FOR REAL WAS AND IS SAMM TITTLE. LEAVING SO I WON’T SAY MEAN THINGS TO YOU. YOU MIGHT HAVE HAD THE RIGHT INTENTION BUT YOU BLEW IT TOO.

Craig Andresen As I told you in our phone conversation Samm…Run for Congress. Your idesa are sound but your presidential campaign just wasn’t national enough. You can still help turn this country around from congress and I urge you to do so.

Over a considerable amount of time and through the ability to do copious amounts of research, I have become reasonably good at
figuring out political quandaries.
I don’t always get it exactly right but, I honestly wish I weren’t right as often as I am.
Finding the answers to questions regarding political ideology, political history, how dots are connected and the end games of certain politicians have become a passion.
I’d like to think I’ve become pretty good at it.
Currently, however, the answer to a most perplexing political question eludes me.
I’m asking for your help.
There is no cash prize involved, like the sum given to the brilliant mind which created the $50.00 light bulb but rest assured, you’ll have my unending gratitude.
Please, somebody…Explain to me exactly how…
Splitting the 2012 presidential vote between Romney, Gingrich, Paul, Cain, Palin, Johnson, Dummett, Tittle and any other number of known or unknown candidates of personal choice will defeat Obama.
Conservatives agree, after all, that Obama needs to be defeated and that if he isn’t, the situation is dire.
In that, at least, there IS agreement.
Thus, the quandary…

Imagine how different the next few debates are going to look to Rick Santorum. He’s going to be at or near center stage and he’ll actually be asked questions.
On the other hand, imagine how much the same the next few debates are going to look to Jon Huntsman who just found out that when voters in Iowa aren’t picking corn, they’re arranging the podium order for the next few debates!
The OTHER Rick…Perry…will have the best seat in the house for the next few debates…The best seat in his OWN house as he heads back to Texas to reassess his campaign. Nobody goes home to “reassess” and then comes back to be a player in the race.
Want to know why?
Because those who donate money are now reassessing THEIR strategy and right now, they’re looking toward investing in center stage Rick over living room Rick.
Michele Bachmann has a problem.

Last night and for that matter, into early this morning, Iowa had their say and as horse races go, this one was a corker.
The GOP field broke into 2 distinct tiers and the results weren’t all that surprising considering the up and down ride over the last couple of weeks.
Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann finished last unless of course, you count Huntsman who not only didn’t compete in Iowa but dismissed Iowa’s contribution to the process less than a week ago.
In the actual vote count from the Iowa Caucus, the win went to Mitt Romney by less than 14 votes with Rick Santorum coming in second and Ron Paul 3rd.
Newt Gingrich, who a mere 2 weeks ago was running away with it finished 4th.
Now, given the numbers, who had the best night?

Here’s the deal. Straight forward and in plain talk. I have never been accused of being politically correct and that’s not likely to change today.
What I’m about to say will probably set a few darn good conservatives ablaze but…So be it.
It will also send the Ronulans into orbit.
As we close in on the Iowa Caucus and other important early state primaries, I am seeing and hearing more and more of the “Only MY candidate can…” and My candidate is the ONLY one who will…”
Crap.
ANY of the GOP candidates CAN and WILL do this and that. Some may do one thing better or faster than another and another may do something else faster and better but ALL of them have the ABILITY to do…whatever.
One Facebook friend, a solid conservative, responded to a post yesterday with this:

It’s time I think, to take another look at the GOP field with regards to the debates and their positions in the polls. While there is plenty to cover, it can actually be boiled down rather neatly if you know at what to look.
To start with, let’s look at the debates.
It would take days to cover each and every little nuance of all the debates thus far and doing so would likely yield little in the way of usefulness. Not that what these candidates have said ISN’T useful, it’s just not where we need to focus for the purpose of this article.

The election of 2012 will be the – THE – most important election in our 235-year history. We’ve heard this said and while many agree, I believe it needs context. To say an election is THE most important, one really needs to know which previous election set the standard.
To do that, I believe we must go back and have a look at the election of 1860.
It was the 1860 election which gave us President Lincoln – but it was what led to that momentous moment which makes the 1860 election so important and to this day, the most…MOST important we have ever seen.
We all know that slavery was the…THE issue in that election but few people know why. Of course there are the known factors in that slavery was wrong, the south wanted it, the north did not and the divide would lead to civil war – but what was it which lit the fuse?
To be frank, it was the Kansas–Nebraska Act.
In 1854, that Act, which replaced the Missouri Compromise, was written by and pushed to passage by Lincoln’s future opponent Stephen Douglas.

Taking this country back, saving this country, turning it around and restoring its place in the world cannot be done through legislation
alone. It cannot rely solely on the repeal of unwanted prior legislation nor can it be accomplished only by the excising of useless government waste.
Yes, these things are necessary but if that is to be the end game, we shall remain lost.
As a nation we need something more.
We need a leader which is something we frankly are missing right now. We need a leader with experience but that experience can’t be found only in a board room or, for that matter, only in elected office. The leadership we need to correct the course is a combination of those things but to stop there would leave us short of the goal.
This nation, to right the ship, correct the wrongs and climb back into prosperity must find a leader with the X factor.

Ron Paul followers believe that ONLY Ron Paul can save the country. They are wrong. Sarah Palin’s supporters believe that only Sarah Palin can save this country. They are wrong. The same can be said of almost all of the supporters of the individuals in the GOP field, and they are wrong.
The sooner conservatives come to this realization, the sooner we can start saving this nation; but in order to reach this realization, conservatives must come to grips with a few things.
1) NO One Candidate Can Save This Nation.
It’s a simple premise – which will probably have some conservatives up in arms – but it’s true. No ONE single candidate can do it because no ONE single candidate is capable of doing it alone no matter who it is and no matter how hard that candidate’s followers or supporters are clinging to them.

Across social media, from Facebook to Twitter and many other venues, I have seen some very disturbing posts, comments, tweets and sentiments over the last two days. To say I am disappointed in what I am seeing and hearing is an understatement.
Within two days, both Chris Christie and Sarah Palin have made it official that neither will be running in 2012. No ifs, ands or buts – they are not going to run.
They did NOT quit as they WILL be more involved than ever before! It’s being INVOLVED that counts!!
After each announcement, from their respective supporters, the fallout was immediate.
These two potential candidates were light years apart within the republican party, and it’s safe to say they didn’t share many supporters which makes the whole of the sum even more disturbing.
