There WAS a mandate won in this election and it belongs, I believe, to the Tea Party but we’re in danger of drowning it out.
Yesterday was interesting for us on social media.
While most either received our article enthusiastically, there were some just too deflated to muster up the fighting spirit.
There were however, a handful of “also ran” supporters who were just hopping mad.
At me…
For supporting not their particular candidate.
Here’s a prime example:
Samm Tittle ANOTHER BSer. YOUR NAME IS ON OUR SWEAT BOARD RIGHT THIS MINUTE. BELIEVE THE ONLY WOMAN HISPANIC EVANGELICAL W/TIES TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY REACHED OUT TO YOU AND YOU COULD HAVE REALIZED HER STRENGTH TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TODAY. NO .. YOU ARE STUCK WITH THIS PRESIDENT DESTROYER AND YOU WANT US TO READ YOUR WHAT? THE ONLY PATRIOT THAT WAS RUNNING IN THE RACE FOR REAL WAS AND IS SAMM TITTLE. LEAVING SO I WON’T SAY MEAN THINGS TO YOU. YOU MIGHT HAVE HAD THE RIGHT INTENTION BUT YOU BLEW IT TOO.

Over a considerable amount of time and through the ability to do copious amounts of research, I have become reasonably good at
figuring out political quandaries.
I don’t always get it exactly right but, I honestly wish I weren’t right as often as I am.
Finding the answers to questions regarding political ideology, political history, how dots are connected and the end games of certain politicians have become a passion.
I’d like to think I’ve become pretty good at it.
Currently, however, the answer to a most perplexing political question eludes me.
I’m asking for your help.
There is no cash prize involved, like the sum given to the brilliant mind which created the $50.00 light bulb but rest assured, you’ll have my unending gratitude.
Please, somebody…Explain to me exactly how…
Splitting the 2012 presidential vote between Romney, Gingrich, Paul, Cain, Palin, Johnson, Dummett, Tittle and any other number of known or unknown candidates of personal choice will defeat Obama.
Conservatives agree, after all, that Obama needs to be defeated and that if he isn’t, the situation is dire.
In that, at least, there IS agreement.
Thus, the quandary…

Here’s the deal. Straight forward and in plain talk. I have never been accused of being politically correct and that’s not likely to change today.
What I’m about to say will probably set a few darn good conservatives ablaze but…So be it.
It will also send the Ronulans into orbit.
As we close in on the Iowa Caucus and other important early state primaries, I am seeing and hearing more and more of the “Only MY candidate can…” and My candidate is the ONLY one who will…”
Crap.
ANY of the GOP candidates CAN and WILL do this and that. Some may do one thing better or faster than another and another may do something else faster and better but ALL of them have the ABILITY to do…whatever.
One Facebook friend, a solid conservative, responded to a post yesterday with this:

As Herman Cain “suspended” his campaign on Saturday, he promised that soon, he would endorse a candidate and in my article, “CAIN SUSPENDS CAMPAIGN,” I suggested he make that endorsement as soon as possible.
Now, we learn that Mr. Cain will, TODAY, make his endorsement.
It WILL be Newt Gingrich.
This will no doubt please some and anger others, but Newt will receive the Cain Endorsement later this morning.
Here’s the conundrum for some Cain supporters.
Cain has been called the “Ultimate Outsider” and many of his most ardent supporters have clung to him because of his Tea Party stance. Now, Mr. Cain will endorse the man many feel is the “Ultimate Insider” Newt Gingrich.
While polls over the last week have shown that should Cain bow out of the race, most of his support would go to Gingrich with some falling to Romney or Paul, and I speculated that Gingrich would receive the Cain endorsement, it is yet to be seen just how MUCH of Cain’s support will fall to Newt in reality.

Today, as I predicted last Wednesday, November 30th,in an article titled “Cain Train Derailed” – Herman Cain has bowed out of the 2012 presidential campaign. In a speech today from Atlanta, Cain cited the emotional toll taken on his family as one of the factors in his decision.
Cain, in “suspending” his campaign, did so in what can only be described as the best possible way given the circumstances. He has moved on to plan B.
This new Cain plan will keep his name and his 9-9-9 plan in the public eye and will work, as he says, toward the day when someone from outside the beltway, completely outside the beltway, can and will become the president.
Cain called the allegations which many see as the direct cause of the derailment of the Cain train, false and unproven but hurtful. Hurtful to his wife, hurtful to his family, hurtful to him and hurtful to his supporters.

Herman Cain will bow out of the 2012 presidential campaign.
That is my opinion and one that I believe will, sooner rather than later, become a reality.
Right now, Cain is engaged in an “Assessment” of his campaign following more allegations of inappropriate behavior. This time, it’s not sexual harassment…This time, it’s an alleged affair that supposedly lasted some 13 years.
My opinion will, no doubt, inflame Cain’s most ardent followers but it’s time to face reality.
At worst, Cain had a 13 year affair with Ginger White and while that is yet to be proven, at least as far as THIS allegation, that would be the worst case scenario. If it proves to be true…IF it proves to be true, it would add an air of validity to other allegations and would be something from which Cain could not resurrect himself.

Yesterday, I said I smelled a skunk. If you missed that article, you can read it by clicking here. I was referring to the “case” of Sharon Bialek, the woman who stepped forward yesterday with her celebrity-chasing, self-promoting attorney, Gloria Allred, to level accusations of sexual harassment against Herman Cain.
According to Bialek, what happened was not at all sexual harassment, it was sexual assault.
Bialek claimed that Cain reached under her skirt, tried to touch her genitals and pulled her head towards his crotch.
I said I smelled a skunk because she had to READ a first person account of the alleged event, she stammered her way through it, awkwardly pause to flip pages, stumbled through words and sentences and even had to read the portion of why, some 14 years later, she decided to come forward.

I smell a skunk. I will admit I’m not always right – but, I smell a skunk. There is something wrong with the woman who was trotted out to face TV cameras this morning by Gloria Allred, as the 4th woman to level accusations against Herman Cain.
Yep, I smell a skunk.
Forget for a moment that Allred is a shameless self promoter and an attorney who has chased more celebrity cases than the paparazzi. Just forget that for a moment.
Forget also, just for a moment that Allred did this in the 2010 California election but with an illegal alien.
I smell a skunk.
Focus on THIS woman, Sharon Bialek, and on her press conference.

Yesterday, it came across GretaWire that the source, or at the very least, A source of the Herman Cain sexual harassment story over the weekend was Chris Wilson, a supporter of and pollster for Rick Perry – and that fact was revealed by Politico, the site that broke the Cain piece to start with.
I had mentioned earlier in the day yesterday in my piece, The Cain Scandal -Problematic but Not Yet Dire, “While this looks, for all the world, to be a bit of dirt dug up by a fellow GOP candidate, I’ll guess Perry as he’s slipping fast, and may be a lot of nothing, it will pale in comparison to the attacks which will come from the liberal machine should Cain actually garner the nomination; and if Cain, with 10 days advanced warning on this wasn’t prepared, some changes must be made and be made quickly.”
After the GretaWire piece broke yesterday in my article, Perry Dug the Dirt on Cain and Shoots Himself in the Foot I stated, “When I watched Perry over the weekend being so giddy in a speech, it was clear he knew something the rest of us didn’t and it was his jabbing at Cain during that speech which tipped me off.”

Rick Perry has some damage control to do and he had better do it fast and strong or his campaign is over. This morning in an article
regarding the Cain situation I tapped Perry as the source and now, low and behold, it has been revealed that it was his campaign which put the smear hit on Herman Cain.
A Perry pollster and supporter dug the dirt and let it fly against Cain and to me, it comes as no surprise.
Perry has been slipping fast and he’s desperate.
Perry, in order to save what’s left of his campaign will have to fire Chris Wilson and detatch from anything to do with the smear but NOT before issuing an IN PERSON and heartfelt PUBLIC apology to Herman Cain.
When I watched Perry over the weekend being so giddy in a speech, it was clear he knew something the rest of us didn’t and it was his jabbing at Cain during that speech which tipped me off.
While I couldn’t be sure, the red flag was waving leading me this morning in my piece, “The Cain Scandal -Problematic but Not Yet Dire” to say, “While this looks, for all the world, to be a bit of dirt dug up by a fellow GOP candidate, I’ll guess Perry as he’s slipping fast, and may be a lot of nothing, it will pale in comparison to the attacks which will come from the liberal machine should Cain actually garner the nomination; and if Cain, with 10 days advanced warning on this wasn’t prepared, some changes must be made and be made quickly.”
While Republicans would have taken Obama or liberals to task over a tactic such as this, I would expect them to do likewise to one of their own.
I will.
Perry was looking for dirt, an advantage, something to bring a GOP rival down rather that to build himself up and he found it in a decade old story.
There are only 2 ways for Perry to get out of this.
1) This story had better have a concrete foundation of evidence against Herman Cain
2) If there is no concrete evidence, Perry needs to drop out, taking full responsibility for what has happened along with firing this Wilson character.
For now, Rick Perry is done!
