Calling Allen West…It’s Time for Real Leadership

It’s time for a change. A leadership change. Yes, I know there are still 10 months to go before the election of 2012 but seriously…Do we have any time to waste? Can we afford to just ride it out?

No.

We must act and act now.

We have a true leadership vacuum and we need to make things right.

I am NOT talking about Obama or the White House here – though there is a pronounced lack of leadership there, too.

I’m talking about something more immediate.

John Boehner must be replaced and soon.

Very soon.

After the House Members went their way just days before Christmas, John Boehner initiated a conference call to inform the Members that the House would approve, unanimously, a 2-month extension of the payroll tax breaks.

2 months?

Really??? How exactly are businesses supposed to plan if they have to do it only 2 months at a time?

How are families supposed to plan on a 2 month system?

How exactly does a 2 month extension boost a sluggish economy or solve any economic issue?

It doesn’t.

While I’ve grown sick and tired of the phrase, this was nothing more than a can kicking.

By unanimous, Boehner essentially agreed to Senate terms without putting it to a vote of the House. In fact, Boehner took a dive. He spoke TO the House Members not WITH them and clearly he did not speak FOR the people whom the House represents.

That is not leadership.

What it is…  surrender.

What the people need in the people’s House is a true leader. We need a leader unafraid to stand the people’s ground. Unwilling to back down. Eager to be tough. A leader who knows the issues. A leader who who speaks clearly, frankly, and cannot be intimidated.

We no longer need Boehner.

We need to find a real leader for the rest of this year and one who can turn our ship around. We must find a leader cool under fire, willing to make tough decisions and one who can and will start the reversal of the Washington way of doing things.

We have that leader. We know who it is.

Yes, there are some who have questioned a vote or two this leader has made and to some, those votes are deal breakers.

Suck it up.

Nobody’s perfect and this leader HAS admitted to making a mistake. That’s more than most in Washington are capable of right there. On other “deal breaking” votes, he stands firm and he offers viable explanations to any and all who ask.

Not everybody likes him and some downright distrust him, but he’s right and he’s a leader.

Because he voted FOR NDAA, some call him a traitor. They are wrong. NDAA isn’t the problem as it offers nothing new in the way of powers to the President. It doesn’t extend any greater latitude to the President or the military either.

The laws some say are granted by NDAA aren’t. Those little gems are in the Patriot Act and this leader voted against the PA after he had a chance to examine it closely.

What matters is where we go from here and it matters a great deal.

To move forward, to start bringing this country back to its rightful place of greatness and opportunity, we must have a Speaker who isn’t afraid to SPEAK. We must have a Speaker who is willing to LEAD and we must have a Speaker who is willing to stand against liberals AND the old Washington way of doing things.

Allen West IS that individual.

Just ask Debbie Wasserman Shultz.

Allen West has been a Member of the House for just one single year and he has emerged as the liberal’s NUMBER ONE TARGET. Allen West, more than any other Member of the House is the ONE that liberals want GONE.

Why would THAT be?

Because he stands on PRINCIPLE and he doesn’t back down.

Liberals KNOW West is a danger to THEIR ideology and THEIR agenda and they know he won’t compromise.

Here is the question Republican Members of the House must ask themselves:

As we begin to restore our nation, in this most important election year, are we willing to settle for a House Speaker who seems all too willing to compromise when push comes to shove or would we be better served with a Speaker who cannot be pushed OR shoved?

I believe the latter; and if you could point out to me the person who can push Allen West around, I’d like to meet that person.

The road from the House to the White House isn’t easy and West has said he feels HE needs more experience.

Fine.

Let’s get him some more experience and promote him to Speaker.

Allen West is most likely on a lot of GOP presidential candidate’s short list for VP – but face it, that’s a ways off. As Speaker, should he get a VP nod, voters will become even MORE familiar with the Congressman from Florida’s CD – 22 and will see the sort of leadership this man can provide.

Allen West is a military strategist; and if you don’t think the House will be a battlefield in 2012, think again.

Right now, we seem to have a Speaker who can’t strategize his way out of a wet paper sack.Wouldn’t it make much more sense to install a Speaker who won’t “SETTLE” for the 75% solution but ACHIEVE it?

How many times in the last year did it look like Republicans held the cards only to be outflanked by liberals at the last minute. In those cases, we had to settle for a 75% solution. Allen West would be two steps ahead of the flanking maneuvers.

The House, under Boehner, seems willing to wait until 2013 to start restoring our country.

Why?

Why should we be content to wait another year to install those who will start the process of restoration when we could start NOW?

It’s time to send a message.

Send a message to the House that there’s a new Sheriff in town. Time to send a message to liberals that we will no longer sit idly by. Send a message to the People that Leadership is ALIVE and well.

As long as messages are being sent…Why not send one to YOUR Republican Congress Members that we want a Speaker who won’t burst into tears every time there’s a ribbon cutting at a new super market, a Speaker who will DEFEND the will of the people, won’t compromise, won’t back down and WILL start the process of restoration NOW rather than wait yet another year?

As this article WILL be sent to Congressman West, allow me to ask him a simple question.

Mr. Congressman, should you be asked to take the gavel in the House as the new Speaker…Will you accept it?

Mr. West, use the comment box below; and if you, Sir, give the word, We the People WILL flood our House Member’s email boxes with THE Call to Action!!

  1. The more I see of Boehner, the less I like him. Why ? Simple, he compromises and refuses to “just say no” to the Dems and Obama and their agenda. He doesn’t have the spine or the items below a man’s belt to stand up to Obama or to the Dems for that matter on every issue. He doesn’t acknowledge that Muslims are the enemy.

In public, Boehner puts on a good show…and thats all it is…a public show. Look at Boehner’s votes. Has he even considered bringing fraud and treason charges against the person who clearly doesn’t meet the qualifications to be President ? Based upon his close friendship with Obama, he fails here too. Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth clearly says his father was born in Kenyam which clearly shows he’s not a “natural born citizen”.

It’s obvious that Boehner can’t make the touch decisions, he just votes to get re-elected year after year. True Leader’s don’t vote to get re-elected but vote to “right the ship”. True Leaders make tough choices and then deal with the consequences. Boehner, like Pelosi, clearly is in politics for his own self-interest, not the good of the country.

  2. The clarion call of certain, unambiguous Truth, comes from the man Allen West. He is what the Founders imagined in a servant, leader. We face a moral deficit, and trust deficit, that must be addressed before we can address a budget deficit. All real answers come from a foundation of Moral Strength, which causes a people to believe, hope, and rally to a cause. Rally we must, for we also face a time deficit. We are in a critical moment. We need a Churchill, not a Chamberlin. The Speaker’s House is calling you Allen West, for you speak as we speak, and understand as we understand. We the people are hungering for a moral, symbolic, victory, to reinvigorate, and light the flickering candle of Hope. You, Colonel West are that torch bearer, that lighter of Hope. You Colonel West were born, “For Such A Time As This.”

  3. Mr West,
We know that you sir, can be the Ultimate Leader that we are so desperate for in the White House.

  4. I’m IN!!!! Get Mr. Allen West the nod and the reigns to this slipshod group of sallies. They need someone to point them where “We the People” need to go!

  5. We need West badly. I still wish he was running for Potus but Speaker would help a lot.

  6. Yes, I totally agree! We need new leadership, and there is nobody I would rather see holding the gavel than Allen West! I hope and pray he hears the call and accepts!
