President Trump’s first State of the Union Address was, to put it mildly, amazing. To hear 
that sort of respect for the members of our military, both past and present…to hear that sort of respect for our country, and for our allies, and that sort of hard line approach to our nation’s enemies… It was refreshing.
I was, after the 8 years of the Obama regime, hoping, perhaps with expectations set too high, for a positive, straight forward, and powerful message from our President, and to be quite frank about it…I was shocked by how far my expectations were exceeded.
Congressional liberals, on the other hand were…even for them…shockingly, repugnant.
There were plenty of great take-aways from that Address, but what, I believe, will stick with me the longest, was the loathsome behavior of liberals in that chamber.
When President Trump spoke of the respect our flag deserves…
The liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of standing for our National Anthem…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of mounting a fight against the abuses of opioids, and other horrible, addictive drugs…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of Israel, and our right, as a sovereign nation, to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s true Capitol…liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of our nation’s motto, “In God We Trust,” the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of Americans getting to keep more of what they earn, because of the tax cuts…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of jobs coming home…jobs that for the past 8 years had fled our artificially high corporate tax rates for the more business friendly, lower tax rate nations…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of historically low unemployment in the black community…a community liberals have claimed as theirs alone…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of historically low unemployment in the Hispanic community…another community liberals claim to be theirs, and theirs alone…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of the creation of 2.4 million jobs…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
When President Trump spoke of the importance of families, the honor and respect we owe our active duty military
, and to our veterans…the liberals just sat there, scowling.
The list of this behavior by the liberals in that chamber is longer than I have either the room, or the desire to continue, but I will add just one more, because to me, it stood out beyond all the rest.
When President Trump spoke of immigration reform, including, “It is time to begin moving towards a merit-based immigration system — one that admits people who are skilled, who want to work, who will contribute to our society, and who will love and respect our country,” the liberals in that chamber…booed.
To be perfectly candid, and straight up brutally honest…those congressional liberals in that chamber for the State of the Union Address put on a display that was not anti-Trump…it was, 100 percent, anti-American.
When you can’t bring yourself to applaud for Americans doing better, for more Americans being employed, for Americans paying less of what they earn in taxes, for businesses 
expanding, businesses coming back to our country, and investing not only in our country, but in the American people, when you can’t bring yourself to applaud the notion of stronger families, respect for those who sacrifice by serving in uniform, cracking down on those who illegally push horrible, addictive drugs, you are not showing your disdain for the President…what you are showing is your hatred of the very people who elected you to office.
Those liberals, in that chamber, were visibly angry over the very notion that people who their party fundam
entally transformed into victims for 8 long years, are suddenly becoming anything but.
Liberals and their socialism made people victims…Trump, and capitalism are making them victorious.
But…when you boo…the desire to bring into our country, those from around the world who, “are skilled, who want to work, who will contribute to our society, and who will love and respect our country,” you are nothing less than mentally ill…and showing your abject hatred of your own country.
Liberals, in that chamber, during the State of the Union Address made the
ir position perfectly clear…liberal voters…they don’t give a flying rat’s ass about you, and they don’t give a happy damn about this country.
President Trump let his true colors show in that State of the Union Address…red, white and blue.
Liberals put on display their seething hatred of America, and her people.
And now, from both sides of the aisle, we have seen the truth.
