Do you know who Paul Manafort is?

Donald Trump does.

Trump, we are told, always hires the best and the brightest…right? He tells us that he always surrounds himself with the best people.

We also know that Trump has hired illegal aliens to build his empire and that he hires foreign workers over American workers whenever he can. We know that while Trump hollers and screams about businesses that locate in foreign countries and how he’s going to stick them with 45% tariffs, which would start a trade war, if they don’t come back yet his signature line of high-dollar suits and his $25 dollar campaign hats are made in foreign countries.

Now, there’s something else we know.

One of the best and brightest, one of those best people Trump surrounds himself with, is his latest hire…Paul Manafort.

But do you know?

Paul Manafort is Donald Trump’s new campaign guy who is supposed to be working to hold onto to Trump’s delegates…a battle he’s losing to Ted Cruz in a major way, but that’s not really Manafort’s primary resume builder.

You see…Donald Trump…who claims to absolutely abhor lobbyists…just hired a lobbyist in Paul Manafort, but it’s who Manafort lobbied for that really gets to the heart of things.

From 1990-1995, Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly, (that’s Paul Manafort’s lobbying firm) was paid the sum total of $700,000.00 to lobby for…to lobby FOR…the Kashmiri American Council. And just who is the Kashmiri American Council? Well, that organization is, according to the DOJ, a front group for the ISI. And who exactly is the ISI? Well, that just happens to be an arm of the Pakistani Intelligence Service.

The ISI is, in fact, a terrorist organization the ilk of al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah…all of whom want Israel wiped off the map. It should also be noted here that Hezbollah is a proxy army of Iran and Hamas runs the Palestinian Authority.

What was it again that Trump said of his foreign policy where Israel and the Palestinian Authority are concerned? Oh yes, that he would be neutral.

The ISI, as indicated by a Joint Threat Assessment Task force compiled by our Intel community, showed that back in 2007, the ISI had been working through a new Gitmo detainee to offer, ”support to al-Qaida or the Taliban, or engaged in hostilities against US or coalition forces in Afghanistan.”

So, not only is the ISI a threat to our allies…they are a direct threat to us as well, and yet Paul Manafort was lobbying on their behalf, via a front group… the Kashmiri American Council…and being paid quite well for his troubles.

Do you have any idea who Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai might be?

Well, in 2011, that guy was the director of the Kashmiri American Council who got caught up in a counterterrorism raid and it was Fai who was the direct liaison between the Kashmiri American Council and the ISI and it was the ISI who was mounting a covert attempt to adversely affect U.S. policy in the Kashmir region.

And why is this Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai dirt bag terrorist important or relevant to this article?

Because Fai was Manafort’s contact, or boss if you will, at the Kashmiri American Council. Fai was the guy paying Manafort and his lobbying firm.

Now all of this could have been somewhat above board, had Fai simply registered as a foreign agent of Pakistan with our Justice Department but alas, he never did, and therefore, what Manafort was doing was not only illegal, it was bordering on treason as he was working on behalf of a terrorist organization.

Remember, this is Paul Manafort were talking about…Trump’s new, best and brightest campaign advisor. That’s right, Donald J. Trump, who talks tough on terrorism and who claims he’s dead-set against lobbyists, has hired a lobbyist who lobbied on behalf of a terrorist organization to advise him during his campaign.

I can’t be the only one who sees a combination of hypocrisy and irony here.

Oh, it’s gets better…

Manafort had an office in Islamabad, where he, Fai and a Pakistani official met to “review strategy and plans” directly related to Pakistan’s efforts to “urge members of Congress to back Pakistan’s case for a plebiscite for Kashmir,” in direct opposition to our national interests in the region, and according to one former Pakistani official, “There is no way Manafort didn’t know that Pakistan was involved with the the Kashmiri American Council.”

So why isn’t Paul Manafort in jail? I think he should be in jail…don’t you?

I think the timeline tells the tale here.

Manafort was engaged in lobbying for the terrorist organization from 1990-1995 so, the early part was at the end of the administration of Bush 41, while the bulk of it was during Bill Clinton’s first term, and I think we all remember how distracted Clinton was, what with his under the desk humidor and all. But who was Clinton’s AG back then?

Janet Reno. And what was Reno involved in that kept her from paying a lot of attention to a guy like Manafort? She was busy making sure that people in Waco Texas didn’t get out of their compound alive, and remember too that while Manafort was lobbying for a terrorist organization linked to al Qaeda, Bill Clinton was busy turning down offers to take possession of Osama bin Laden, even though al Qaeda was responsible for one terrorist operation after another around the world and right here at home…the 1993 Twin Towers attack.

But let’s be fair…Manafort wasn’t discovered to have lobbied for this terrorist organization until 2011 and who was running the show in 2011?

Well…that would have been Obama, Eric Holder and Hillary Clinton.

Do you really think that Holder, who was running weapons to the Mexican drug cartels, or Hillary, who was hiring our al Qaeda linked enemies as security in Benghazi or Obama, who never met an Islamist organization he didn’t absolutely love would have this guy, Manafort, arrested?

But what did Paul Manafort do before he became a paid lobbyist for a terrorist organization?

He was a campaign advisor for Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bob Dole. That’s right, mister “I’m an outsider,” Donald Trump, went and hired a dyed in the wool Washington INSIDER as HIS campaign advisor. Manafort also tried to become the guy that ran the 2008 Republican convention, but John McCain, who already knew who Manafort was, put a quick halt to that.

Since then, Manafort has been looking for someone as slimy as he is to hook his wagon to, and in Trump apparently, he found exactly the perfect fit, but who, other than this specific terrorist organization, has Manafort worked for?

Let’s see…Manafort was an advisor to the Ukrainian presidential campaign of Viktor Yanukovych, who is a close buddy of Vladmir Putin who Trump says, he gets along with very well.  Manafort also worked for Mobutu Sese Seko in Zaire… the military dictator and President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who, while anti-communist, was in fact, a brutal and repressive ruler. Paul Manafort also spent some time working for Jonas Savimbi, the Angolan warlord, political and military leader who was also a brutal dictator.

It makes perfect sense that Trump, a con man whose blind followers crow about him being an outsider would hire the ultimate insider, Paul Manafort. It makes perfect sense that Trump, who claims to deplore lobbyists would hire himself Paul Manafort…a lobbyist. It makes perfect sense that Trump, who whips his followers into a frenzy with his tough talk against terrorism would hire a guy, Paul Manafort, who lobbied for a terrorist organization and it makes perfect sense that Trump, the wannabe dictator who threatens violence should things not go his way, would hire Manafort, who worked for dictators who actually employed violence when things didn’t go their way. But all of this begs a very important question…

What would Trump’s Trumpkins be saying right now had Manafort, with his disgusting credentials, been hired by Ted Cruz?

This much I can tell you…Cruz’s supporters would turn their backs and walk away from their candidate were Cruz to hire a terrorists lobbyist who worked for brutal dictators while the Trumpkins…will just keep following their con man candidate over the cliff, all the while hurling vile insults at those of us who dare to share the truth.
