2016 – Too Many Hats in the Ring

By Craig Andresen – The National Patriot and Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.net

Why are they running or, at the very least, even thinking of running?ran 1

That is the question that must be asked regarding several potential Republican presidential candidates as the time to go fishing or cut bait for 2016 is directly upon us.

Mike Huckabee…a nice enough guy and the former Governor of Arkansas has announced that he intends to announce on May 5th but why? Why would he or SHOULD he be throwing HIS hat in the ring?

He ran in 2008…he came in 2nd…soooo…he has a chance in 2016? Well…no…not at all because that 2nd place finish was such a DISTANT 2nd place it’s almost as though he never ran at all. McCain, in 2008, the establishment choice garnered some 1,378 delegates to become the nominee while Huckabee only managed to scrape together a mere 240.

In 2012…Huckabee looked good in the pre-race polling but, declined to enter the race at all so…why NOW? Is he basing his 2016 run on a distant 2008 2nd place finish and a never ran at all 2012 election?

It seems so but I’m telling you, and him, it’s nowhere near enough and he can’t win the nomination. In fact, the odds are that he won’t do as good as he did on 08 so…don’t do it ran 2Mike…don’t do it.

Then, there’s Rick Santorum…former congressman…former senator who, in 2012, was in 2nd place to Mitt Romney during the primaries until he lost in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia…as his campaign began to fade and Romney’s began to accelerate…Santorum dropped OUT when his daughter was hospitalized.

Santorum was then, and is now, a social issues only candidate and that is exactly what the liberals want…a Republican social issues candidate who can split the vote because whether that candidate is in or out of the race in November…an element of the Republican voters WILL write in his name thus making it easier for the liberal to win.

Don’t do it Rick…just don’t give the liberals what they must have to win.

Carly Fiorina…former Hewlett-Packard CEO and one hell of a businesswoman is set to make HER announcement on May 4th but outside of the business world…what qualifies her to win the nomination or the oval office?

She’s rowing the same boat as Dennis Michael Lynch…a NY businessman and ran 3documentary film maker and Donald Trump and while Trump at least has name recognition…and all three have the skill set to excel in the business world…none of the three have experience in political or diplomatic leadership. They’re novelties…options yes but in a world that is at the tipping point…we need a PRESIDENT…not a CEO.

Don’t do it Carly…don’t do it Dennis…don’t do it Donald.

Governors usually make good candidates for president because, running a state, especially if successfully running a state makes a good platform for leading a country but…in 2016, there are several potential candidates with gubernatorial experience that just don’t fit the bill.

George Pataki…Chris Christie…Jeb Bush and Bobby Jindal come to mind.

Christie has built his political success on pandering to political special interest groups and has, as often as not, adopted the positions of liberals to garner their support. Jeb, while a solid governor of Florida has since become a liberal tool and is now as close to many of ran 4Obama’s liberal agenda positions as one can get without announcing that he will run as a Democrat. Pataki is yesterday’s news and again, as a Republican in a blue state, he had to lean far left to win…maybe not as far as Jeb is leaning now but still…being left of center is not what the vast majority of Republican voters are looking for and as for Jindal…Governor…strong positions but…Louisiana is a quirky state and Jindal himself is quirky not to mention that he has always proposed a state budget that relies on the federal government for 40% of his state’s funding and although he talks about the need for small government…he will never be able to run away from that 40% fact.

Jeb…George…Chris and Bobby…just say no and don’t do it.

What about Rick Perry and Scott Walker?

Both are going to run and…only one of them should.

As the overseer of the Texas economy, the 13th largest economy on earth, Perry is more viable than Jindal, Bush, Pataki or Christie but, as a 2012 candidate, his run was an unmitigated disaster and some of his policies, the embracing of in state tuition for illegal aliens and his Islamic curriculum for his state’s public schools will haunt him into a 2016 political grave.

Don’t do it Rick.

There are a few other governors expressing interest for a 2016 run…Maryland’s Bob Ehrlich…Michigan’s Rick Snyder and Virginia’s Jim Gilmore who ran in 2008 making such an impact that nobody outside the Gilmore family reunion even remembers his effort.

Nope…nope and nope.

John Kasich…the Governor from Ohio?ran 5

While his demeanor and talk may draw independent voters his way…Kasich is an establishment darling…and as bad as that sounds to Conservatives…it sounds even WORSE when you realize just who’s establishment darling he really IS…and it’s NOT the GOP establishment.

As Ohio’s Governor…Kasich has RAISED his state’s spending by 20%…he’s expanded Medicaid and embraced Obamacare…he’s raised both sales AND business taxes…FAILED to reform Ohio’s public sector collective bargaining giving unions the upper hand and Ohio has a stagnant 27th ranked PRIVATE sector job growth.

Sorry John…no go.

From the halls of congress we have Lindsey Graham and Peter King both making noise regarding a 2016 run. Graham doesn’t have the toughness to stand tall in the face of the issues most important to turning the ship around and King would be better suited as a liberal candidate than a Republican candidate as his most ardent public stances of late have been those aimed at destroying those within his own party who DO dare to take a bold stand for the Constitution.

We don’t need a go-along get-along Graham nor do we need the ilk of Peter King.

What about Ben Carson?

One brilliant speeran 6ch at a prayer breakfast where he beat Obama like a piñata doesn’t a presidential candidate make and if Carson doesn’t realize that…we should. Besides…on every major issues, Carson has made his true feelings known only to walk them back and reverse course when right of the aisle blowback comes his way.

NOW he been all buddy-buddy with none other than Al Sharpton!!!

Look, if I ever needed his talent with a scalpel, there is nobody I would rather have standing over me but Ben Carson, politically, is not a leader…he’s a follower and we need leadership.

Naturally, there will be those who will, again, run social media campaigns like John Dummett Jr., Cody Robert Judy, Sam Tittle and others but let’s face it…between all of them, they couldn’t come to a consensus on what time in the morning to open a doughnut shop much less how to run the affairs of state or a nation. They’re just in it for their own aggrandizement on Facebook and as shills for whoever the liberal nominee turns out to be.

Here’s the problem…with so many ready to jump in the deep end of the pool, during the debates, where We the People get to hear their take on the substantive issues all we will get is shallow 30 second to 1 minute sound bites. Put 15-20 candidates on the stage like we did in 2012 and ask them all questions in a 1 or 2 hour forum and nobody has the opportunity to provide in-depth answers. The take away will once again be…who LOOKED the best and who SOUNDED the best or who made LESS gaffes rather than which candidate’s position is best suited on any given topic would to provide the best SOLUTION to the dire messes we face as a nation at home or on the world stage.

Walker…Rubio…Cruz…Paul and Bush are going to be the…THE front runners not just out of the gate but for the long haul…and I don’t even like all of THEM but…the rest are just taking up space and wasting their time and ours not to mention the fact that their most rabid supporters will vote for them even AFTER they drop out of the race thus splitting the Republican general election vote assuring another liberal victory in 2016.

Everybody has the right to run…that’s a given but…what they SHOULD do is RAN 7examine…carefully…what is best for the COUNTRY and not their own personal standing and as they drop out, and after a nominee is chosen…all of them…ALL OF THEM need to get behind that nominee and be LOUD regarding their supporters getting behind that nominee as well.

If THEY don’t and WE don’t…We WILL lose.

Too many chefs in the kitchen will ruin the soup and too many hats in the ring will ruin our nation.

  1. Excellent analysis Craig.

I’m all in for Ted Cruz. He has intelligence, charisma, the voice of a leader, and huge balls. All things we need in our Commander-in-Chief.

WWIII has already begun. We need a man who can step in on Day One and be a strong CINC. I’d prefer the POTUS to have military experience, but if Cruz makes West his VP or SECDEF, he’ll be getting great advice that he’ll use, and not arrogantly dismiss. I’d also live to see him make Bolton SECSTATE, and Gowdy the AG.

We’re on the doorstep of a massive World War of Biblical proportions. We need a POTUS with the stomach to kill millions of enemy civilians, because that’s what it’s going to take to extinguish the Islamic ideology in the Muslims v non-Muslims War.

Take a look at post-attack battle Damage Assessment photos of all major German and Japanese cities to understand how our grandfathers felt about avoiding “collateral damage and death to women, children, and elderly.” These peoples were intentionally targeted. We wouldn’t have won the war otherwise.

The Japanese High Command and Japanese and German survivors all said, more than anything else, the unrelenting destruction of their cities was what broke their will to fight and decided their surrender. We’d best develop the stomach and will to do the same.

Worldwide criminalization of Islam is the objective. Unrelenting death and destruction is the means. None of us enjoys killing other human beings. But our grandfathers had to do it, and so will we if we want to win. I’m not talking about killing all Muslims. I’m talking about killing their ideology. Like after we extinguished the Nazi ideology, the World could then live in peace with the Germans.

If we drop one nuke on a random Muslim target every three days, making every Muslim on Earth believe he could be next, it wouldn’t take long for every Muslim government to get on board with the program and criminalize Islam.

Our next POTUS has the motive and means to end Islam inside of two weeks, for less than $7 Billion, without risking one Allied soldier’s or pilot’s lives. I believe Ted Cruz, who has a strong relationship with Netanyahu, could do this.

Islam is Sedition & Conspiracy to Murder, and should be a capital offense everywhere on Earth.

  2. I disagree. Following your logic we would never have gotten Ronald Reagan as President.

Let them all run and only COMMIT to 100% SUPPORT and VOTE for the Primary Conservative Winner regardless of whom you preferred. That is what I am going to do as a proud American citizen and a veteran with the U.S. Air Force and 27 years law enforcement!

  3. Cruz, Rubio and Jindel are ineligible due to the NBC clause. Jeb is a Socialist. Perry and the other interested governors need to stay out. Enough of this left leaning stuff. They are all progressive in my book
It is time for real Constitutionalists to run, like Trey Gowdy, Darrel Issa or Allen West.

    • In fact…they are all eligible and the only definition of NBC ever offered by the Founders and Framers from the 1st Congress makes them eligible. There is no definition OF NBC in the Constitution and the SCOTUS has never heard a case on NBC to offer a ruling so…they ARE eligible.
