American Sniper, Chris Kyle and Liberal Loathing

chris 1On December 2nd, 2013, Eddie Ray Routh reportedly told his sister and brother in law that he had sold his soul for a new truck.

Those were his words apparently…”I sold my soul for a new truck.”

The pickup he was driving wasn’t his. It belonged to someone else and Routh’s sister and brother in law called the police.

The trial of Eddie Ray Routh begins next month and he’s on trial for murder.

It’s not going to be one of those ‘IF’ trials…it’s a ‘WHY’ trial as Routh has admitted what he did…we just don’t know why he did it. We all want to know…why?

Why did a troubled Marine who had brushed in and out of mental care shoot and kill Chad Littlefield and Chris Kyle? They were trying to help Routh. They were there for him to talk, work things out, ease Routh back into the world and provide him with friendship he could lean on.

But that’s not how it ended up.

It ended on that early December day when Routh, at a gun range near Chalk Texas, shot and killed Littlefield and Chris Kyle and then took Kyle’s truck and drove to his sister’s home. She asked about the pickup according to reports. Where did he get it? WHEN did he get it. How…did he get it?

“I sold my soul for a new truck.”

He murdered Chris Kyle…former Navy SEAL…4 tours of duty…America’s deadliest sniper with a chris 2confirmed 160 kills and a probable 95 more than that. Chris Kyle…a family man who had brushes with PTSD himself had taken Routh to the shooting range at the request of Routh’s mother…to try and help the younger Marine cope.

Chris Kyle was more than a Navy SEAL and his book, American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History raised eyebrows, and pointed fingers. The controversy continues to this day with Jesse Ventura, suing for and winning $1.8 million dollars from the Kyle estate over what HE contends are libelous statements in the book regarding a bar fight.

The book also caught the eye of film maker Clint Eastwood and the stunning result of THAT is in theaters now.

American Sniper.

Liberals are tying themselves in knots over this film.

Critic and left wing liberal nut job David Edelson spends a considerable amount of space and effort to attack Clint Eastwood in his review referring to Eastwood’s empty chair speech at the RNC and theorizing that “Eastwood looked as if he were slipping into chris 3doddering dementia.”

Edelson, while admitting the film is brilliantly made, calling it a “crackerjack piece of film making” and tossing in the fact that Bradley Cooper is “very impressive” just can’t help but to regress into his ‘progressive’ agenda and call the whole thing “scandalously blinkered” and a “Republican platform movie” because it does not condemn what Edelson believes to have been an “illegal occupation of Iraq” by American forces under George W. Bush.

Other critics took the same approach because, to them wallowing about in their vats of self and America loathing filth, they just can’t envision a guy like Chris Kyle. They can’t bring themselves to accept a mentality the likes of Chris Kyle who entered the military at the age of 30 to become a Navy SEAL and was driven by the need to protect the American soldiers around him to the point he served 4 tours and torn by the needs of his wife and family to have him back home.

Then…there is the slob, Michael Moore who, over the weekend crawled out from under some rock and tweeted:

moore 3

Moore just can’t wrap his head around Chris Kyle’s morality. Moore just can’t accept that there are people in our military like Kyle who are not driven by a thirst for blood but compelled to do a job they find horrific to protect his fellow soldiers.

Michael Moore’s loathing of America and our military is only equaled by his self-loathing as the ever so courageous Moore pats himself on the back for calling out a deceased hero who will never be able to challenge the accusation as a coward while he makes heroes of 7th century barbarians.

moore 4

How about unabashed liberal loon and actor Seth Rogen?

chris 9

Rogen is referring to the fictitious Nazi propaganda piece “National Pride,” from Tarantino’s 2009 flick. In other words, unless the American military is engaged in winning the hearts and minds of the enemy…being all touchy-feely…they are akin to Nazis and any attempt to portray an actual member OF our military and the actual heroic events surrounding that member of the military is nothing but Nazi propaganda.

The ilk of Moore, Rogen and Edelsom  are not alone. In fact, they are in highly placed company.

During the bin Laden raid, when SEAL Team 6 was in grave danger, after making sure he was in the situation room for the photo op…Obama left to play cards with Reggie Love and…Benghazi…where Hillary hired the enemy to guard our diplomatic staff and Obama chris 4was nowhere to be found for 8 hours during the assassination of Ambassador Stevens that included the collateral damage losses of Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

Today’s liberals, even in the highest positions, feel the same as bottom dwellers Moore and Edelson in that our enemies are more moral than Americans and empathy for those enemies is more important than the safety OF Americans.

Is there any other plausible reason why Holder allowed the walking of high powered American weapons into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels?

The ultimate proof is in their actions.

chris 5Hillary Clinton’s Department of State placed a call to the family of Samir Kahn, the al-Qaeda propagandist killed in a drone strike along with Anwar al Awlaki and according to Kahn family spokesman, Jabriol Hough, “They were very apologetic (for not calling the family sooner) and offered condolences. It wasn’t just ‘I’m sorry’ and hang-up.”

The families of Ambassador Stevens, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith and Tyrone Woods have not been on the receiving end of such calls.

The family of Brian Terry…murdered by a Fast and Furious weapon…have not received such a call.

And neither has the family of Chris Kyle although Obama DID in fact send a letter of condolence, “We extend our heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. He will be remembered for his infectious optimism and many contributions to American music. Please know that you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers,” to the family of rapper Heavy D and had Al Sharpton read it at the funeral and Obama sent 3 representatives to the funeral of a thug in Ferguson Missouri.

Who did Obama…the chris 6Commander in Chief…send to Chris Kyle’s funeral?

Nobody.

America paid respects to a fallen hero but Obama decidedly did not.

Obama had flags lowered to half-staff when Whitney Houston died of a drug overdose.

Not so for Chris Kyle.

The film, American Sniper, doesn’t glorify war. It doesn’t gloss over the ugliness of it and it doesn’t take liberties to make Chris Kyle into something he wasn’t. Those who served with Kyle say it is accurate. Chris Kyle’s wife, Taya, said she lost track of the fact it was an actor, Bradley Cooper she was watching and felt as though she was watching her late husband.

Here is Wayne Kyle, Chris’ father, with Sean Hannity.

American Sniper is a masterpiece directed by the only film maker in Hollywood who, in my opinion, could have made this without trying to interject a sense of loathing for America into it…Clint Eastwood…and it not only tells the story of an American hero but also tells the story of his wife and family in what is THE most delicately balanced storyline I have ever seen brought to the big screen.

When you leave a theater and everyone is talking about the movie, you know you have seen an exciting and good picture.

When I left American Sniper…it was dead silent all the way to the parking lot.chris 7

That’s when you know you have been impacted by the picture and by those featured in it…in this case…the exceptional performances of Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle and Sienna Miller as Taya as well as the insightful and detail oriented direction of Clint Eastwood.

It is said that you don’t really know a person until you walk a mile in their shoes. Cooper and Miller walked 10 miles in Chris and Taya’s shoes…Clint Eastwood went 10 miles further.

Chris Kyles father once told his sons that there are 3 types of people in the world…Sheep…wolves and sheep dogs. Always be the sheep dog he told Chris.

I encourage everyone to read American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History and see the film, American Sniper because our nation needs more sheep dogs.

We need more Chris Kyles.

  1. Just watched the movie, didn’t know it was based on real life. Got curious on the clippings towards the end of the movie so I did checked it on the internet. I really just can’t find words to express what I felt after watching it and what I still feel even up to right this moment. And I cried too and I still cry and feel sad every time it hits my thoughts, and I remember too the FALLEN 44 from the Philippines.

  2. Wasn’t it 4 people that Obama sent to represent him at the funeral for a young black thug, Michael Brown, in Missouri? I watched a video where Brown brutally beat a grey haired old black man until he was barely conscious. Search for it on the Internet. Obama in spite of his so called patriotism is a black bigot who is destroying America. We have reached a point where we are no longer respected in the world. Chris Kyle was an American hero of the likes of Audey Murphy, and Obama does not send anyone to the funeral?

  3. Tragic that we may not know why. But worse is the fact that Moore is still able to use his tongue. And the most loathing and despicable thing I believe is that Jesse Ventura who hides from his past in Mexico I think, can lie about being a Seal and then side’s the Kyle family as a matter of honor. Ventura and Moore are scum sadly they still are using up our oxygen.

  4. I have not seen the film.I have heard a lot of talk about it.I am stunned by the hatred coming from the left wing nuts of this country.

  5. After Obama’s lying speech last night, and knowing how GOOD, DEDICATED and PATRIOTIC men protect our fighting men and women, I sure hope we get out speak and stand for freedom in the public forums around the country. Until TRUE AMERICANS make themselves heard and seen, nothing will change.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL WHO LOVE AND DEFEND HER!

  6. It was such a quiet, eering feeling at the end of the movie, heart wrenching. My husband, a Vietnam vet, cried openly. People filed out of the theater, quietly and reverently mostly looking down and weeping.

  7. When the movie was over and the credits were rolling, there was no music. The silence was overwhelming. I have never experienced that at a theater before.
