Is Benghazi a Made Up Scandal? Skyes the Limit

skyes 1As liberals continue to run scared regarding the truth about the Benghazi attacks, more and more rhetoric from them is flying hither and yawn through social media and their lapdog mainstream media. It’s now to the point that we need to fight back using the facts.

A couple of days ago, I wrote an article,Liberal Benghazi Deniers About to Face the Music that received scorn from the left and I fully expected it would but their counter arguments simply fly in the face of reality.

Wrote Chad Skyes in a comment posted on my article: “First off, I’m 100%, no. I’m 110% positive, that no administration official even knew what had happened in Benghazi for weeks afterwards. The sheer amount of confusion when something like this happens is overwhelming. Even when actual combat units are engaged in a firefight, with all our communications equipment, the information received by higher ups is almost always incorrect and inconsistent. The fog of war is very thick and unless you’ve been there like I have.. your opinions are worthless. “

“What followed politically was your typical PR campaign. It wouldn’t have mattered who was in office, Republicans, Democrats, none of that matters. The PR machine does it’s thing regardless of who is in power. We can point to complacency, mismanagement, lack of funding, lack of security, blow back from our foreign policy. We could go on and on pointing the finger.. the reality is war is hell and people die.. period. “

“Instead of wasting tax payer dollars on this made up scandal, why are we not focusing on the REAL SCANDALS??”

Mr. Skyes is 100%, no…

110% wrong.

We KNOW as FACT that this Obama administration INDEED knew EXACTLY what was happening in Benghazi on the night of September 11th, 2012 AND that they knew WHILE the attacks were going on. We know this via testimony given before the house committee and via email trails. We also know for a fact that Hillary Clinton made her first public statement regarding the attacks…blaming them on an obscure You Tube video skyes 2at 10:06 that very night. At 10:06 EST on September 11th, 2012…the terrorist attacks in Benghazi were still in progress.

We know from testimony that those in Libya at the Tripoli location knew it was a terrorist attack and had forwarded that intel to Washington. We know that the Field Director of the CIA annex in Benghazi also forwarded that very intel to Washington DURING the attack. We NOW know that Brigadier General Lovell (Ret.) who was stationed at AFRICOM that night new it was a terrorist attack and furthermore, he knew it was Ansar al-Sharia who was doing it.

As for Skyes’ assertion that,The fog of war is very thick and unless you’ve been there like I have.. your opinions are worthless,” is also 110% wrong in this case because 1) we were not at war in Benghazi and a military veteran such as Skyes’ claims to be should be keenly aware of that fact and because 2) As we now know as per facts and testimony, those initial intel reports were 100%, no…110% correct right down the line. In fact, a good deal OF that intell was provided by two former Navy SEALS…Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty before they were murdered by the very terrorists with whom they engaged that night.

Skyes then attempts to make the argument that, “We can point to complacency, mismanagement, lack of funding, lack of security, blow back from our foreign policy. We could go on and on pointing the finger.. the reality is war is hell and people die.. period.”

Complacency Mr. Skyes? Mismanagement? Hardly. We know from the testimony of those where employed by the Department of State as security leaders that they asked, time and time and time again, more than a dozen times in fact for upgraded security and more security personnel to protect our diplomatic mission in Benghazi and for the diplomats themselves and it wasn’t mismanagement or complacency Mr. Skyes…They were DENIED the security they sought and, rather than ADDING personnel…American security personnel were DRAWN DOWN only to then be replaced, by the Obama administration, with skyes 3members of the 17th February Brigade…Ansar al Sharia…an al-Qaeda organization and the very organization which carried out the attacks.

Lack of funding? Again, Skyes’ assertion flies in the face of sworn testimony from the State Department’s Charlene Lamb who made it clear that funding was NOT the reason OUR security in and for Benghazi was drawn down.

And, as for Mr. Skyes’ inquiry regarding, “Instead of wasting tax payer dollars on this made up scandal, why are we not focusing on the REAL SCANDALS??”

Excuse me?????

“MADE UP SCANDAL???”

Four Americans are dead Mr. Skyes. Is THAT made up?

By the time of the 9/11/2012 attacks in Benghazi only 2 flags were flying there…ours and the black flag of al-Qaeda Mr. Skyes because the British and the Red Cross had pulled out after attacks were directed at them. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

Obama armed Libyan “rebels” as he ‘led from behind’ and those “rebels” were deeply connected to al Qaeda. It THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

At the time of the 9/11/2012 Benghazi attacks our military was engaged in a war in Afghanistan and one of our enemies IN that war was and is today…al Qaeda. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes???

Ansar al-Sharia IS the name of al-Qaeda in Libya. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

The State Department under Hillary Clinton HIRED Ansar al-Sharia’s 17th February Brigade to provide “security” for Ambassador Stephens and our diplomatic team in Benghazi. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes???

Ansar al Sharia was known, on the night of 9/11/2012 to have been the attackers as I outlined above. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?skyes 4

Also, as outlined above, Hillary made her first statement blaming a You Tube video as the attacks were still in progress. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

Obama, Hillary and the administration perpetrated that You Tube video false claim for 3 weeks after the attacks. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

We now know, via an email trial withheld from the house committee and only uncovered by a FOIA lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch that the You Tube video cover story came from the oval office via Ben Rhodes (Adviser to Obama) even as those who were on the ground in Benghazi that night were telling a completely different version of the attacks which has been proven correct. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

We also now know, despite the testimony of Leon Panetta and General Dempsey, that Barack Hussein Obama was never in the white house situation room at any point during the Benghazi attacks as per a statement made by Tommy Vietor and backed up by white house visitation logs. He was engaged in debate prep with three coaches which he must have felt was more important that a diplomatic mission under attack by terrorists, his Ambassador missing and later discovered to have been murdered, three more Americans including two former Navy SEALS being killed and a CIA annex coming under terrorist attack. Is THAT made up Mr. Skyes?

I could go on and on but what is clear is that this was NOT made up. These are now indisputable FACTS and as such, Mr. Skyes and so many more who are currently spreading this particular line of propaganda are either 100%, no…110% mistaken or, they are simply shilling for the Obama administration in which are they are 100%, no…110% wrong.

As to other comments regarding my Monday, May 5th article…that we as Conservatives are somehow happy about what happened in Benghazi and are only “fixated” on it as a way to attack Obama…allow me to explain something as concisely as possible.

We…as Conservatives…would MUCH rather Ambassador Stevens, Glen Doherty, Tyrone Woods and Sean Smith were alive today, either at their appointed posts or at home with their families and we know they most likely would be were it not for acts of treason, as outlined above, perpetrated by Barack Husein Obama, Hillary Clinton and others within the Obama administration but, to attempt to label the ongoing investigation…the Special Investigative Committee to be headed by congressman Trey Gowdy as a “waste of taxpayer dollars” for the purpose of extending a “phony scandal” for political gain is not only 100%, no…110% false…it is a slap in the face to the families of those lost in Benghazi and a disrespectful disgrace to their names.

On the chance that Mr. Skyes or an administrator from the LinkedIn group, American Politics Culture & Economy might remove his comment I have taken the step to capture it in its entirety below.skyes 5

What Mr. Skyes and far too many others SHOULD be concerned with is EXPOSING the TRUTH of what happened in Benghazi and the truth of the cover up OF what happened there regarding the September 11th, 2012 terrorist attacks rather than attempting the BURY the truth beneath a mountain of lies, cover ups, false claims, diversions, obstructionist tactics and bogus rhetoric.

  1. At the very beginning after Benghazi, Admiral James Lyon voiced the opinion that Benghazi was a kidnapping gone wrong.
He was speculating that Ambassador Stevens was to be kidnapped by Ansar al Sharia to be exchanged for the blind Sheikh in a N.Y. prison for the first attack on the Twin towers.
The presidency in Egypt was still under Muslim Brotherhood control, Muhammed Morsi was making demands for the release of Sheik Abdul Rahman.
    It all makes sense.
The reason the security was reduced was to make the kidnapping easier, the call for the Stand Down came because the kidnappers did not expect any resistance.
All that changed when the Stand Down order was ignored
Just google Admiral Lyon, kidnapping, Benghazi, Chris Stevens, and if Eric Schmidt this suck-up to Obama, has not removed these criteria, you can read all about it.
    I did , a few weeks ago

  2. I never said I have “more” right, or that my opinion is worth more, only that it should be respected. The response I made was to Joe, who doesn’t know me, but decided I was a “piss ant”, and “ass hole” simply because he disagrees with me. Why such hostility? Did I throw any insults to warrant such disparagement?

Do I believe in the Country, as one nation under God? No, I’m an atheist, I do not believe in God. Do I believe in liberty for all, as many of our Atheist/Deist founding fathers believed? Then yes, of course I do. Will you respect the fact that I’m an atheist? That some of our founding fathers were also atheist, or at least Deists?
    http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/07/04/35-founding-father-quotes-conservative-christians-will-hate/

Will I stand up and support the Constitution? Of course, I joined the military right after 9-11 at age 28 and left a $70K a year job to do so. So obviously I felt a patriotic duty to serve my country and made a willing sacrifice.

Do I believe in limited government? I’m probably just as far right on that issue as you are, I may even be farther right. I’d like to see the Federal Government shrunk to almost nothing and let the States have all the power. However don’t ask me, or force me to believe in religion. However, I believe that your right to practice a religion should not be infringed. You should be free to worship free from persecution, just don’t ask me, or force me to believe in your God and we can get along just fine. I have many very religious friends, we get along just fine. When it comes to abortion and same sex marriage, to me that should be a local issue. The community should decide. It’s not an issue the Federal government should even be involved in.

I do not believe respect is earned, I believe respect is given. In fact, the current division in our Nation is the result of people not being able to respect one another. We all have different views, we are all individuals. When you begin to disrespect people simply because they hold different views, it divides people. Even Jesus taught that. Matthew 19:16-19, Jesus said we should love the Eternal with all our might (deuteronomy 6:5) and love our neighbors as ourselves – leviticus 19:18. Bet you didn’t think an Atheist was familiar with the teachings of Jesus? I’m actually very fond of him, I’m also fond of the teachings of Buddah. I find many people who claim to be followers of Christ, have strayed from his original teachings. I also find many corrupt politicians exploit religious people and the poor and that is unfortunate

Are we the greatest Nation on earth? That’s a very good question. Nationalism can be a very dangerous thing if allowed to go unchecked. So I’m leery to believe that somehow I am better than someone else simply because of where I was born. I believe in the founding fathers view of American exceptionalism in terms of our protection of liberty, but I would be worried about the neoconservative view towards American exceptionalism.

When we feel superior to the point that we wage wars against a weaker people because they do not share our culture, then we become oppressive. I do not want American excpetionalism to be oppressive.

For me, Benghazi is not a single issue, it’s part of a larger systemic problem we have created for ourselves. We should be looking at our foreign policy and asking whether it’s what our founding fathers intended. I am disgusted with Obama, but not because of Benghazi, I am disgusted with him because he has continued down the path of U.S. foreign policy that has created the atmosphere for not only Benghazi, but the many more that will surely follow.

I’m a Libertarian, I am a non-interventionist.. We should bring our troops home, clean up our own house and make America strong again. We need to dismantle the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about. We need to end the dominant influence of money in our politics. But we will never accomplish those things if our house is divided because greedy corrupt politicians crave power. They feed off our division and it makes us weaker as a result. They fuel the disrespect we have for each other. I am just as disgusted by Democrats attempting to cover up the events in Benghazi for political reasons as I am with Republicans for politicizing it to raise money. Our government no longer works for the people, they work for the handlers and special interest that fund their election campaigns. Both parties are more interested in developing talking points for election campaigns than actually governing.

Until the adults are ready to have a conversation about the blow back from our foreign policy, we will continue to have more and more Benghazi’s. It won’t matter who is in power, each side will cover it up, or point the finger, and the circle jerk of pandering politicians, the influence of money and corruption of special interest will continue to drive America into the toilet.

Are we the greatest Nation on earth? We may have been at one time, but we’ve lost our footing. Admitting that in my opinion is a patriotic belief. So the question is, do we continue to hate and fight one another because we do not share some beliefs? Or do we rally around the things we do believe in and put American back on track?

    Warm Regards,
    Chad Sykes

  3. Joe,

My MOS was 19-Kilo. I was a M1A1 Tank Crewman. I was with 1st Armored Division, 4th Brigade, 1-1 Cavalry. I spent 15 months in combat operations in Iraq during OIF1. My unit was based at Camp Slayer (Iraqi Survey Group). We provided both Force Protection in around BIAP and conducted patrols in some of the hottest sectors such as Yosufiyah, Mahmudiyah and District Alalam.

We also were occasionally attached to Task Force 121 as armored support in rounding up high value targets. We participated in Operation Red Dawn. Late in our deployment my track was hit with an IED and I suffered two severe herniated discs indirectly as a result of the attack. I also ran over a car killing three Iraqi civilians during a reconnaissance mission. I received 3 Army Commendation Medals, Drivers badge and our Unit was awarded three unit citations for operations in theater.

My second tour to Iraq was during OIF3 with 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division. I was assigned as the Brigade S4’s personal driver. I spent my entire deployment in the Tactical Operations Center at Camp Taji. I had a front row seat for all major operations that took place in Northern Baghdad.

My two tours gave me both an on the ground experience in a combat unit engaged with the enemy as well as a top down operational view from the Brigade level. So one could say I’ve seen the Army from both sides..

So no.. I wasn’t a POG, at least not during my first tour, but I did empty the trashcan occasionally when I was working the TOC at Camp Taji. So technically, I guess I did do janitorial work.

I’m curious Joe if you’ve served our country? You may not like my opinions, but I believe I have earned the right to have them. Respecting people and their opinions seems to be something that is dying in our American culture. Everyone is taking sides and our nation has become polarized and divided.

As they say, united we stand, divided we fall..

    Warm Regards,
    Chad Sykes

    • Chad…

One doesn’t earn the right to have and or share opinions in this country as a result of wearing the uniform. One is GIVEN those rights as an AMERICAN. tose rights and many others were entrusted to us by the founders and framers and they are available to each and every American whether or not they served in uniform. I am always quite amazed by those who somehow think they have MORE of a right BECAUSE of their service and USE their service as their resume as though somehow, it’s their foot in the door in any given conversation.

The question should be…Do you BELIEVE in the country, as one nation under God. Will you stand up and support the Constitution? Does one believe in the ideal of LIMITED government as per the founders and framers and the right to live free from religious constraints but NOT free FROM religion?

Many great Americans never wore this nation’s uniform and the uniform itself affords no extra measure of rights. Respect, that’s another matter as we should respect those who served to keep us free and fight for the freedoms of others but respect is earned…not solely of the uniform itself but also by one’s steadfast believe that the Constitution is the law of the land and that this is, indeed, the greatest nation on earth.

When one advocates for or on the behalf of another who would tear this nation down, that respect wanes,

      Craig

  4. I am wondering just how much combat this Skyes has actually been in. I think someone should do a little digging as to this piss ant’s military record and his MOS. I think this ass hole is lying through his teeth. I to not believe a word of what he claims to be. He was probably a janitor, just sayin. So I hope someone does a lot digging on his military record.

  5. The evidence of BENGAHZIE is in ! Weathering Democrats refusal to respect the proccess! We the American people deserve’ s truths of what happens when four American’s death’s aren’t taken seriously by our government!

  6. I’ll see Mr. Sykes’ two combat tours and raise him 6 along with 8 years as a PSD/PSS WPS Contractor. Two tours to Iraq, one to Afghanistan and 2 to Kosovo, with a final to Bosnia over the past 14 years; only 6 months inside CONUS within that period… so, putting all the hoopla aside… let’s talk “FOW” (fog of war). First of all, yes, FOW exists, but as any combat vet knows, it diminishes with time. FOW is experienced by those on the ground, not those in a TOC, BDOC or Stat Room… Those folks have the benefit of BFT’s (Blue Force Trackers) or better… Drones with FLIR, Sat Com uplinks and more… so I don’t buy for one minute that this administration should be pardoned for their “not knowing” because we already know, they knew.

Now, that being said, I’m not part of any party, libertarian or otherwise, but what I am is a Vet who is damn sick and tired of a government run amuck… using our people like expendable pawns. we understand the risk over here (currently in Kabul) but we also have the understanding that if we call for CAS (Close Air Support) we will get it. Which leads me to the next point… even with all the Fog that Mr. Sykes talks about, the two Seals that broke ranks and aided Mr. Stevens and Sean Smith obviously had their shit wired tight enough to get the call out… Hell, even 4 star, Gen. Ham got the word… got relieved too, by my understanding, for wanting to go to their aid after the Administration told him to stand down. Excuse me? Very few people tell a 4 star General to “stand down”… And on top of this, if the guys on the ground can overcome the Fog of War and get the call out for CAS or other support, then I “ain’t” buying this BS about the Administration “not knowing” or being “unable” to react. Yeah, bite me if he doesn’t like that comment. Any combat vet should understand that they need to suck it up buttercup, drive on and get over their diaper episode in a firefight, get on the horn and call in support if necessary and if that soldier can’t… well, lets just say that kid would have some serious ass chewing and remedial training or he’d be riding this E-7’s boot out of the unit. Excuses are like rectums… everyone has them, no one wants to hear it… and as for the hog-wash that Mr. Sykes put out, feeling all cuddly for the State Dept. well, there’s an individual who has serious moral compass issues when it comes to protecting his fellow comrades. Anyone with any testicular fortitude knows that you do everything in your damn power to come to the aid of your fellow troops, civilians or other Americans… Period. The fact that this administration not only failed their #1 priority in this case, going it “assh*&^%” and elbows to at least ATTEMPT to provide some support… but NOOOOO this administration even went so far as to tell Senior military personnel to “stand down”. Excuse me, you over zealous asshats in office but knowing that none of you have ever served a day in your life, nor having ever taking fire… I seriously doubt your ability to grasp the scenario and know what to do in this situation! AND, then to lie on national tv, to state “what difference does it make…” like a spoiled child? As if we didn’t already doubt our leadership enough then YOU (government) have to remove ALL DOUBT from the equation as to the fact you DO NOT have the interest of those of us you put in harms way, at hand.

So, this “specialist” (I am assuming that is what Mr. Sykes was when in IRAQ, cause he sure the hell talks like one, or at least a FOBBIT) needs to get his shit straight. I apologize for my vernacular… but not for offending anyone who supports this administration. People who support these jokers are part of the damn problem in our nation today. And I don’t even need to cover the other reasons this kids comments are so far off topic… since the author of this blog covered it pretty well… but seriously where do people like this get off? We fight for our nation, whether you like it or not… but we damn sure thought when we tore ass off into the desert, that the people, let alone this administration had our backs. That includes the State Department workers who cover their end of the bargain, and contractors as well. As I am now involved in a DOD Contract I can honestly say to you all that we (all persons serving overseas) are seeing a trend that we don’t like… we return home and our government is acting like a bunch of spoiled brats on crack… our rights are being eroded and for what? the lives lost in this GWOT (Global War on Terror)? Hell, you people let this administration release terrorists that are in Gitmo… they don’t prosecute Ndal on grounds of a terror plot at Ft. Hood and call it workplace violence, yet Harry (goddamn) Reid can call a bunch of ranchers and militiamen, terrorists for standing up to the government… again, moral compasses here are all fouled up!!!

I’ve said enough, and I am not even going to proof this one… I’m pissed… I’m disappointed and I am ready for our nation to get its act straight… I know that wont come easy. It will come with a price. We’ve already paid for much of it… many of us already faced our fate… this new foe in our nation does not phase us… we have therefore, nothing left but to arrest, prosecute and imprison those who are incapable or unwilling to uphold their oaths. We can no longer accept anything but absolute devotion to our nation and our Constitution. So it is written, so it shall be.

  7. Everyone who is concerned about what is going on in in our country should read The Contract On The Government. It is the book the politicians and bureaucrats DO NOT want you to read. Find out more here: http://www.thecontract.us/
