Trayvon Martin Was Black – Zimmerman Isn’t

“First of all, my client will never be safe, because there are a percentage of the population who are angry, they’re upset, and they may well take it out on him. So, he’ll never be safe.”

Those were the words of Mark O’Mara, the attorney for George Zimmerman.

That percentage of the population is also cheering those words.

Whether or not any have the nuts to see their calls to violence specifically against Zimmerman through is unknown but they would rather be feared than respected.

For that percentage of the population…Ask why…Given your proclivity for violence over good sense, your bent for intimidation over common ground and your wanton lack of respect for life and the lives of others…Ask why so many, in your percentage of the population, are behind bars?

That percentage of the population seeks revenge for racial profiling and not that such things as profiling against them isn’t a part of their past but, in this case, Zimmerman vs Martin, it is Zimmerman who is the victim of profiling.

Zimmerman isn’t included in that percentage of the population. He’s not black. Therefore, he, in the eyes of that percentage of the population, is guilty.

Not based on his actions.

Not based on the evidence presented at trial.

Because he is not black.

In the eyes of that segment of the population, Trayvon Martin was innocent.

Not because of his actions or those of Zimmerman.

Not because of any evidence presented by the prosecuting attorneys.

He WAS black.

There are any number, any LARGE number of black on black crimes, black on black shootings, black on black deaths.

That percentage of the population doesn’t care about those other than to take or try to take matters into their own hands. Eye for an eye…Tooth for a tooth…Until more are dead and buried and others behind bars.

And when a percentage of that percentage is incarcerated, the rest of that percentage of the population cries foul.

Somehow, they believe that some sort of reverse affirmative action is needed to incarcerate more white people to create balance in the system.

How about, that percentage of the population commit fewer crimes?

Fewer murders? Fewer robberies? Fewer assaults? Fewer rapes?

That percentage of the population is too hooked on their culture of violence and death to consider such radicle ideas as those.

Who ARE those in “that” percentage of the population?

Young blacks. Militant blacks.

Those to whom street cred is more important than school credits. Those to whom being black is more important that being a productive member of society.

Though they walk the streets, they are as imprisoned as those in prison because they have decided that blood in, blood out is more important than rising above their self-imposed station in life.

The rule of law means nothing to them.

By the evidence presented in this case, Trayvon Martin was in or wanted to be in, that percentage of the population.

That evidence, most of which was presented by the prosecution, shows Zimmerman spotting someone he didn’t know, acting suspiciously, in a neighborhood which had been plagued by robberies.

Zimmerman called the non-emergency 911 and told the operator his name and location and followed the unknown man while he updated 911.

When the 911 operator told Zimmerman that he needn’t continue to follow the man, he headed back towards his car.

That’s when, Zimmerman told the police in an interview just hours after the shooting, Trayvon Martin came out of the bushes and confronted him.

According to the video of that interview, played in court by the prosecution, Zimmerman said that Martin asked him, “What’s your problem?”

Zimmerman said he didn’t have a problem and Martin then told Zimmerman, “You have a problem now!”

That is the point when, according to Zimmerman, Trayvon Martin lashed out, punching him in the face and knocking him to the ground.

Martin, according to Zimmerman’s police interview, broke his nose, told Zimmerman, “You’re gonna die tonight” and began to beat Zimmerman down, ramming Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk time and time again.

Zimmerman, before he ever knew there was an audio tape, told the police that HE, Zimmerman, had screamed for help and, as he felt Trayvon Martin’s hand reaching for Zimmerman’s gun, fearing for his life, Zimmerman got to the gun first and fired once.

IS that the way it happened?

That’s Zimmerman’s account of it and it’s the account he gave to police in the hours and days after the shooting. It is also the account of those who witnessed Trayvon Martin on top of Zimmerman and beating him MMA style.

Those witness were brought to the stand by both Zimmerman’s defense team AND by the prosecution.

Experts, brought by both sides also backed up that account of the night’s events based on forensics.

Martin, other than the single, fatal, gunshot wound was uninjured. Zimmerman had a broken nose, bloody face and the back and side of his head was cut and bruised.

Zimmerman’s shirt, the back of his shirt, was grass stained.

The knees of Trayvon Martin’s pants were grass stained.

That, in a nutshell, is the evidence presented in court by attorneys for BOTH sides and none of it shows that Zimmerman was guilty of any wrong doing but, a percentage of a certain population doesn’t care.

THEIR evidence is that Trayvon Martin was black and Zimmerman isn’t.

Was it profiling as that percentage of the population claims?

The only evidence presented in court as to any racial profiling or racial slurs uttered that night was unelequently presented by the prosecution’s star witness, Rachel Jeantel who, in what has been described as “black English” by black pundits, told the court that, on the phone, Trayvon Martin referred to Zimmerman as a “creepy ass cracker” and a “nigger.”

Zimmerman, on the other hand, only mention the race of the man he was following as “black” when asked by the 911 non-emergency operator.

A percentage of the population doesn’t seek “Justice for Trayvon,” they seek revenge based on the only evidence that matters to them.

Trayvon Martin was black and Zimmerman isn’t.

Barack Hussein Obama said, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”

Louis Farrakhan Tweeted, “Where there is no justice, there will be no peace. Soon the law of retaliation may very well be applied.”

Maxine Waters stated, “I, personally, really truly believe this is a hate crime,” and the Congressional Black Caucus demanded an investigation into Martin’s death based on its concern that racial profiling was involved, and  Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.

Al Sharpton said, “Trayvon could have been any one of our sons. Trayvon could have been any one of us. We are tired of going to jail for nothing and others going home for something.  Zimmerman should have been arrested that night … you cannot defend yourself against a pack of Skittles and iced tea. Don’t talk to us like we’re stupid! Don’t talk to us like we’re ignorant! We love our children like you love yours. Lock him up!”

“We cannot allow a legal precedent to be established in this city that tells us it is legal for a man to kill us, tell any story he wants, and walks out with the murder weapon.”

Jesse Jackson said, “Trayvon is martyr, he’s not coming back, he’s a martyr, murdered and martyred. Now we must illuminate the darkness with the light that comes from the martyr.”

“No justice, no peace.”

And Eric Holder’s Department of Justice spent taxpayer’s money, $674 in expenses, for their deployment to Sanford, Fla., to “work marches, demonstrations and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.,” thus aiding the protests and build up of anger in which the New Black Panther Party offered a $10,000 bounty on George Zimmerman.

Obama, Sharpton, Holder, Waters, Farrakhan and Jackson all said and did these things before a shred of evidence had been presented in court because, just like that percentage of the population now calling for the death of George Zimmerman, random white people and riots should Zimmerman be acquitted, the only…

THE ONLY evidence that mattered to them is that…

Trayvon Martin was black and Zimmerman isn’t.

Neither their suits, their ties, the monikers of “Reverend,” or Congresswoman, their words nor the geometric shape of the office they occupy has lifted any of them above that percentage of the population that now tweets:

According to George Zimmerman’s attorney,  Mark O’Mara, “First of all, my client will never be safe, because there are a percentage of the population who are angry, they’re upset, and they may well take it out on him. So, he’ll never be safe.”

I say that the percentage of the population to which O’Mara refers, is spitting upon the memory of the last true leader the black community has ever known who said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”

Shame on them.

  1. When I first heard about the Zimmerman/Martin case I wanted nothing less than life in prison for Zimmerman. I was so mad that this man murdered this young boy in cold blood, I supported Martin and his family to the fullest. I signed petition after petition against Zimmerman asking for justice for Martin BUT the EVIDENCE being shown PROVES Zimmerman didn’t murder Martin in cold blood, it WAS self defence. Murder is wrong either way but if someone is defending their own life, don’t they have that right regardless of the color of ones skin? This riot is going to cause more people to lose their lives….. INNOCENT lives! I don’t care if a white person, black person, spanish person, chinese person, etc…… if ANYONE of ANY RACE/SEX threatens mine or my children’s lives you can bet your ass I will fight to the death to protect me and mine. I know and understand racism is still a problem in today’s society, but racism doesn’t just exist against blacks. To threaten to kill innocent people if Zimmerman is set free is asinine. Why go on a random murder spree of “white” people because Zimmerman is set free for DEFENDING his own life? It’s ignorance and stupidity like this that keeps racism alive. This kind of shit makes me sick, these people make me sick. Yall have enough nerve to cry racism yet you are the ones threatening to kill innocent white adults and children if a man who was defending his own life is not found guilty. Who is racist?!

  2. I am fearful for the future that lies ahead for my daughter and for my country. The above commentary was very enlightening and very troubling. Nobody was threatening the lives of innocent people when O.J. Simpson was aquitted for being a BLACK man that killed TWO WHITE people, but for whatever reason it seems that they just search for any reason to create madness and incite chaos. My last name, and being from the south is something that I have been very proud of, not that I am racist nor am I prejudice at all, I do however cling to strict beliefs protecting my culture and heritage from being diluted to the point of annihilation. I enjoy associating with and befriending folks of all races and religions of the world, however I will not hesitate to lock and load to protect my family and my home from racial terrorism and political oppresion regardless of where it comes from, just like my great great uncle Gen. R.E. Lee C.S.A.

  3. Funny…I don’t recall WHITE people rioting after O.J. Simpson got off scott free…and O.J. straight up planned and murdered two innocent people! But the left wing media gives black race baiters a free pass to riot, and burn, and kill.

  4. Thanks for another well thought out and spot on piece Craig !

  5. The trial is almost over, but the fury has just begun.. All over this great country, blacks are attacking white people because of the George Zimmerman trial..The fact that they see white people as the cause of this young man’s death, without listening to the truth, is ignorant, to say the least.. The fact is, this trial should never have happened..The lead prosecutor, has been indicted on charges stemming from her irresponsibility, over zealous behavior …Covering up major evidence which allowed the shameful media to indict and convict George Zimmerman before he had a chance to defend himself, is how and why this trial even came about..None the less, the damage is done..From the minute NBC and their edited (white on black ) report hit the airwaves, America’s diversity became a breeding ground for violent, vitriolic rhetoric, racial condemnation..I fear, George Zimmerman’s death warrant, whether guilty or not has been signed…

As we as a nation, wait for the end of the trial and the very real possibility of an acquittal, there is a call by, many well known black rights advocates, Hollywood, and American citizens, to kill George Zimmerman, riot and loot (businesses and homes), and outright attack any and all WHITE people..

Please take heed in what I am about to say…This country has not been so divided along racial lines as it is today, thanks of course to the TERRORIST IN CHIEF AND HIS DEMOCRATIC MINIONS…Mark my words, the day George Zimmerman is acquitted, there will be violence like we have not seen in a long time here on our soil…American against American…As sad as this is, you must be aware of your surroundings..Please becareful when out, take extra precautions as you travel from point A to point B..Yours and your families safety could be at risk…

Along with the, very real, possibility of violence, remember Obama could seize this as an opportunity to declare Martial Law on us…WE CAN NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!!!!
