Life in a Post Constitution Amerika

Oh, to be in Watertown…Now that paramilitary Martial Law is here.

Last Friday was indeed a day we should all remember. In Boston and it’s suburb of Watertown, a dangerous man, a terrorist, responsible for the deaths of 3 people and the maiming of more than 170 along with the assignation of a police officer and the severe wounding of another, was running loose.

Nobody knew exactly where he was, where he was hiding.

Boston PD…Watertown PD…DHS…FBI…and police from other towns and other states joined in a coordinated manhunt.

Yes…we MUST remember the day.

Not as much for how it ended, with the terrorist being discovered, hiding in a boat behind the home at 67 Franklin St and then being taken into custody alive…No…Not as much for THAT rather, for how the day unfolded.

THAT is what we must remember.

Throughout the day, people were warned NOT to be on the streets. Not to go to work. NOT to open their businesses.

THAT I can understand…

What I simply cannot understand is the door to door, neighborhood by neighborhood illegal searches of the homes of American citizens.

Seemingly, at random, law enforcement, be they local police of federal agencies, would bang on a person’s door…ORDER them to come out with their hands in the air and then…THEN…they would enter and search the house…Every nook and cranny…Top to bottom before they would allow the family back inside.

This is what they did. Over and over again. Perhaps we will never know exactly how many times but, one would not be out of line to suspect 100…150…maybe 200 times. Hundreds of homes. Hundreds of families.

Hundreds of willful violations of the 4th Amendment.

The 4th Amendment:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

The idea that any of those law enforcement agencies or agents had a sworn warrant for all those homes they entered in Watertown last Friday is laughable.

Any such warrant would have had to come from a judge who had been presented PROBABLE CAUSE describing the place to be searched and the person or items to be seized.

The terrorist for whom they searched could well have been anywhere. In any home, under any car. He could have been in Boston, Watertown or, he could have found his way OUT of the city.

Probable cause? To search any home without evidence that the terrorist was inside?

Probable cause to order families OUT of their homes, hands in the air and, at GUNPOINT?

Probable cause to aim their weapons at those who, from neighboring windows dared take photos of videos of their wanton shredding of the 4th Amendment?

That is exactly what transpired in America last Friday.

Now, in the wake of the destruction of the 4th Amendment last Friday, one wonders whether the “gun control” crowd will continue to lecture the rest of us regarding how weapons of war have no place on our streets. How semi-automatic weapons should not be in the hands of individual citizens.

Will they continue to tell us we shouldn’t be allowed more than 10 bullets in a magazine?

Yes. Of course they will.

One wonders too, what might have happened had someone come to their door and demanded to see a search warrant. One wonders what might have happened had someone, anyone, stood up for their rights. One wonders what might have transpired had someone denied law enforcement to enter their home without a warrant.

The answers to those questions can be found at Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Those promoting conspiracy theory, saying that the government carried out the Boston bombings or recruited or framed 2 stooges on which to blame this are missing the obvious. To them, everything has to be some deep and complicated conspiracy with thousands of moving parts and forethought so exact as to achieve the desired result.

Crap.

The obvious is most often the most overlooked reality.

2 brothers, Islamists, bent on death and destruction plant 2 bombs near the finish line of the Boston marathon.

What the conspiracy theorists and “truthers” simply cannot bring themselves to admit is that such incidents are not the fault of government but the fault of a complacent public.

There were those who knew the brother bombers and saw them becoming different than they once were and said nothing.

They planted those backpacks, in full view of hundreds if not thousands of people and simply walked away from them. Nobody said anything most likely because, nobody noticed them doing it.

Complacency.

It’s not like we haven’t been attacked before. It’s not like we haven’t seen the news reports of others, in other parts of the world, being attacked the same way.

But…We’ve been told the war on terrorism is over. That al Qaeda is dead and GM is alive.

We’ve been told that obvious acts of terrorism are acts of “workplace violence” and that You Tube filmmakers are ultimately responsible for acts of terrorism.

On April 15th, in Boston, perhaps the most liberal enclave in THE most liberal state in the nation nestled in THE MOST liberal region of the United States, sheep, believing their government would protect them because, after all, the government had thwarted so many other attacks. They didn’t need to be vigilant.

Facts paint a very different picture.

The shoe and underwear bombers were NOT thwarted by government agents or agencies and neither was the Times Square bomber. They were thwarted by vigilant civilian individuals.

Those thwarted in their deadly adventures by GOVERNMENT agencies have been those SET UP by government agencies and then given fake bombs before their arrests.

The TSA, for all THEIR X-ray machines and feel-up searches have never found a single terrorist.

Yesterday’s plot was foiled by the Canadians.

For the last 4 years, we have been instructed by the GOVERNMENT, over and over again, NOT to “jump to conclusions.

One wonders how different April 15th 2013 would have been had just ONE person “jumped to a conclusion” upon seeing either brother set their backpack on the ground and walk away from it.

Lives were at stake THAT day and our WAY of LIFE was at stake last Friday.

On that fateful Monday, we lost lives.

On the following Friday…We lost our way of life.

Not for a single minute do I believe that the GOVERNMENT engineered the Boston Massacre as I simply don’t believe they have the wherewithal to pull it off without it leaking out. There would have been far too many people involved and someone would have leaked it.

I DO, however believe that THIS government, THIS administration followed their mantra, “Never let a crisis go to waste” and took advantage of the situation, last Friday, to willfully violate the 4th Amendment amongst a herd of sheep whom they knew would not stand up TO it.

THIS time, by quickly assigning the TERRORISM label to the act, it allowed THIS administration to put the FBI, ATF and DHS firmly in charge of the investigation and, upon THEIR “leadership” role, they could insist upon searches of property WITHOUT legal warrants.

Because we have no idea exactly how many houses were “searched” at random and because of the fog of the moment, one wonders how “random” those searches really were.

How DID they determine which homes would or would not be searched? Was it random or, could it have been done by voter registration?

Yes, I am speculating but, only because I have grown cynical of this administration.

By searching the homes of those registered to their own party, it becomes more likely they would NOT run up against those who would not allow such searches without proper and legal warrants and thus, set a precedent for future similar actions.

If we remember ANYTHING about how the horrific events of last week in and around Boston ended, let us remember THIS…

It wasn’t the GOVERNMENT nor their agents and agencies ultimately responsible for the conclusion of it. It was a man, Jeff Bauman Jr. who lost both legs in one of the blasts who gave TO law enforcement, a description of the 19 year old bomber whom HE had seen walking away from an abandoned backpack that provided the FBI the means to search photos and videos leading them to the release of those first images to the public.

It was some nameless individual or individuals who looked at those images and provided the names. It was the victim of a carjacking who tipped off law enforcement as to their whereabouts late on Thursday night and, finally, a home owner who, upon hearing that law enforcement was allowing people out of their “shelter where you are” lockdown, went into his backyard and noticed that a strap, used to secure the tarp to his boat, had been cut…Blood on that tarp, a bloody jacket near the open door of his shed…

Who lifted that tarp, saw the bloodied man in his boat and dialed 911.

Let me give you the 3 most important quotes imaginable in this scenario.

1)“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” – Ben Franklin – 1755

2)  “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”-Rahm Emanuel – 2009

3) “The people who are worried about privacy have a legitimate worry. But we live in a complex word where you’re going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.”Michael Bloomberg – April 22nd, 2013

While we should applaud the Boston PD and others for working above and beyond the call in facing the real threat of terrorists last week, we should NOT, under any circumstances, forget that many went above and beyond the law and our Constitution to do it.

That’s life…In a post Constitution Amerika.

  1. OH, THANK YOU for providing a sane voice on the subject of conspiracy theories! Seems everyone just ran around looking for ANY inconsistency to justify a conspiracy theory that would justify an irrational hatred of this administration and its policies and please note, I said IRRATIONAL hatred, not RATIONAL hatred. This administration has plenty to answer for without laying unfounded conspiracy theories at their feet. Personally, I think attributing these theories to this president and his cronies gives them too much credit for brains. All that being said, I wish I could disagree with you, but I can’t. More and more it seems to have become a case of citizens are the targets, immigrants are the victims and citizens (subjects?) have fewer rights than illegals and criminals. What happened to MY America?

  2. I live in Canada and was born in America. I watched the three videos tied into the one above. Frankly the first thought was that it was the dorm where he might have lived or the house where he was eventually taken down. I was so wrong and then what I saw scared the cr_p out of me. To see such a police action taking place against my countrymen for no other reason then they couldscared me. Also picture the troops (not a mis-use of the word) in full combat gear with armoured trucks rolling through the streets and all free people in our two countries should be afraid. I say both countries because I have seen that what happens south of Canada’s border soon takes place north of the same border. Close your eyes and change the black uniforms to desert camo and tell me you could tell the difference between them and our very own armed forces.

  3. Joseph Frotenberry –

Of course they were illegal did they have a warrant in their possession to conduct the searches? No, they did not therefore it is illegal.

Since you had about 12 heavily armed law enforcement at your door asking to search your house with no probable cause, no warrant, but with guns pointing do you think people would say NO? I don’t think so at all.

What would probably have happened if someone had declined entry to their homes is that the police would have shoved and beaten them aside and gone in anyway and then arrested them for saying no.

In fact, I had heard on the radio where one such homeower did that and they were arrested and hauled to jail for not letting them into his home and he had nothing in there nothing.

  4. Why would they need to search inside peoples homes since the residents have been there from the shelter in place order? The only places someone could hide were outside or in a crawlspace.
