Weekend Edition: Politically Correct Racism

February is officially, “National Black History Month” and frankly Scarlett…I don’t give a damn.

It may as well be called, “Not by the Content of Their Character but Because of The Color of Their Skin Month.”

Every February, the nation celebrates racism. Politically correct racism by designating this month as “Black History Month.”

It’s an absurd notion if you shun political correctness.

In an effort to prove we are not a racist nation, the powers that be celebrate one race above all others.

Where is Red History Month?

When exactly is Yellow History Month?

White History Month?

Brown History Month???

And why exactly…BLACK…History month.?

I thought we weren’t supposed to call black people black anymore. When I was a kid, they WANTED to be referred to as NEGROS. Then they decided that NEGRO wasn’t what they wanted to be so they became BLACK.

The United NEGRO College Fund apparently never got the memo.

Black seemed to be the preferred nomenclature at least through the mid 1980’s until someone decided BLACK was somehow, wrong and AFRICAN AMERICAN became the calling card.

How one explains the National Association for the Advancement of COLORED People, I’m not sure as I’m not at all convinced they EVER liked being called COLORED.

BLACK History Month? I thought African American was the new Black.

It’s amazing to me how news shows and morning shows treat Black History Month.

They send an African American reporter out to do a piece on an African American or…Black or…Negro or…COLORED person of interest depending on that person’s age and historical timeline demographic. The reporter highlights that person’s contribution to whatever it is or was that person contributed TO and at the end of the piece, the reporter tosses back to a panel of white people who remark about how amazing the spotlighted individual was.

The gist of all of those fluff pieces is how the African American, black, negro, colored person rose to some acclaim despite being African American, black, negro or colored.

Let’s get something straight right here and right now.

Yes, there is still racism in America and one would be a fool to think otherwise HOWEVER…To rise to some well appreciated level or station of life does NOT mean that one has done so DESPITE the color of their skin…

Those who are or have been the targets of such abysmal treatment as racism rise above the limited thinking and ignorance OF those who PERPETRATE racism.

Therefore…Those who, today, claim to be victims OF racism are much, MUCH more likely to be victims of an ideology that TELLS them they are victims and rewards them FOR being victims.

You will know such people upon either meeting them or seeing them in action.

These are people who are more concerned with being black or African American or whatever than they are with being free, independent, successful or, dare I say it…Conservatives.

Politically, a racist will, regardless of the color of their skin, vote for the candidate who SHARES that skin color because THAT is what is THE most important issue in their mind or vote for someone of somewhat deeper pigment out of melanin guilt.

A Congressional WHITE Caucus would quickly and decisively be deemed racist but we DO have the Congressional BLACK Caucus don’t we?

The real problem comes when accusations of racism are leveled where racism is not present.

Call Obama lazy because he doesn’t engage in the process and you’re labeled a racist. Disagree with the way Holder does his job and HE thinks you’re a racist.

It dilutes real racism where real racism exists and trivializes real racist actions.

If YOU, regardless of YOUR particular depth of tan, wield “racism” as a club with which to swat unicorns, do NOT expect anyone to believe you when a HORSE is about to run you down in the street.

There are those, like Sharpton, Jackson and others whose only purpose for being in the public eye is to promote…Yes, PROMOTE racism and where they can’t find it, they are not beneath creating it out of thin air.

When was the last time you saw either of the 2 reverends drawing attention to a crime victim, whether a real or made up crime victim who was not sharing their skin color? For that matter, when was the last time either of them spoke out against black on black crime?

The so called “leaders” of black communities or groups are always crying racism over the number of black men locked up in prisons but when was the last time you heard one of those “leaders” investigating the REASONS why the crime rates perpetrated by blacks are so high?

I have a theory.

There seems to be far more young black, or African American or negro or whatever men, walking about with their damn pants at half-mast than young white men in the same fashion demographic. If they BOTH steal something or shoot someone…the white guy seems much more likely to have a chance of RUNNING away from the cops. And given the fact that so many of those half-masted black men also seem to have a genetic LIMP, either one leg being shorter than the other or one knee that momentarily collapses as weight is placed upon it…THEY GET CAUGHT AND GO TO JAIL.

Now I ask you…Does that make me a racist or…OBSERVANT???

As a conservative, I think Obama’s “solutions” to high unemployment are laughably ineffective and have actually led to increased unemployment and, because I have stated that openly, I have been called a racist by those who voted for him twice while the unemployment rates in their skin color demographic remains 5 to 6 points higher than in MY skin color demographic.

I’m not racist, I’m anti-socialist.

Just because I don’t like gangsta rap doesn’t mean I’m a racist…It means I just can’t see the lyrical lilt in rhyming vulgarities which happen to be every 5th word and are, unfortunately, the only words enunciated with enough clarity to be understood without a double top secret decoder ring from a box of Ebonics Puffs.

I ain’t all that crazy about opera either as to me, most of it sounds like walruses being given a prostate examination by a rabid sea lion.

By the standards set by those who would call me a racist should I utter the word “nigga” or make reference to it by any means other than “the n-word” I should have just been offended 31 times in the previous 4 minutes and 11 seconds.

That’s once every 8 seconds and as much as I question Chris Rock’s paternity and its resulting nepotism given his recent verbalizations in support of torching the 2nd Amendment…Rock’s observations get him laughs from the same people who would get me banned from social media over MY observations of the pants at half-mast crowd.

There are, I suppose, some who need a full month of being fed soul food for the ears to make them feel intellectually multi-cultural but I’m not one of them. In fact, it makes me wonder what those people do or think the other 11 months of the year.

To set aside even a minute to celebrate something that is only skin deep is a waste of a minute and to designate an entire month to it is as multi-culturally deep as a contact lens.

We SHOULD be celebrating those who add something positive to society and the world, those who add meaning to the lives of others, whose ideas and ideals and actions make living better and those whose talents and knowledge make us laugh, cry, love, feel inspired or motivate us to expand OUR horizons EVERY day and we should do it without having it marked on a calendar and regardless of the crayon color that person most resembles.

Those who are more concerned with the content of their character…

Understand exactly what I mean.

Those more concerned with the color of their skin or, yours…

Will call me a racist.

  1. hahaha! too funny, eva…

craig, i think the ONLY non-fraudulent card barry has is the race card… cuz his social security & selective service cards sure are fakes!

  2. I get it,but I highly suspect a whole lot of people will only skim the surface and scream racism. It’s a little deep for certain minds to comprehend. Well, actually it isn’t, but there are always those who pretend to be outraged when challenged with truth.

Frankly, I am sick and damn tired of being called a racist every day for the last 5 years, when I am actually just against a certain ideology that treats all people as pawns in their evil game of ” Let’s try one more time to force Communism on people” when MILLIONS have died because of it”.

  3. Thank you , Craig Anderson..
