Yes.. the Nazis as well as the Bolsheviks and Chinese supported and enacted strict gun control laws. The Leadership Conference of Religious Women also supports gun control. If your going to compare people who clearly aren’t Nazis or Bolsheviks to the likes of Stalin and Hitler, then you might as well throw the LCRW (an organization of nuns) in the mix with the liberals.

I don’t like Democrats, Nazis, or Bolsheviks anymore than you do (which should have been obvious when I referred to myself as a libertarian socialist). I probably like government even less than you do. The point I was trying to make with my afterthought, is that the only thing these sort of comparisons are good for is making rational people think your insane. The only people patting you on the back for it, are people who already were. It hurts, what is in this case, our shared cause (opposition to gun control).

By all means, let us never speak the words of Hitler or show how the ACTIONS of Hitler compare to someone else so that we may ignore the most valuable lessons of the 20th century.

I am an American libertarian socialist (not an oxymoron. The history is there, look it up. Predates what most in this country think of as libertarianism), who has also taken considerable influence from Karl Marx. When it comes to an armed populace, let me offer a quote from Marx to some up my feelings about gun control…..

“Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers should be frustrated, by force if necessary”

I support an armed populace.

It is one thing to portray shoot outs, but quite another for guns to be connected to sexual pleasure. Have you ever considered Beyonce’s performances? They attempt in the “Demand a PLan” ad to make her look like Palinesque, but in reality, she is nothing of the sort.

Those very stars are the ones that create a blood lust culture. Tedd Nugent, Palin, and others have always portrayed weapons in a responible way. This is a sharp contrast to Beyonce and others who portray them in a different light.
