Weekend Edition: The Emperor and the Pharaoh

So much for the Arab Spring.

Those of us who are, by liberal/socialists definition, blind to reality, saw it coming.

With apologies to the Bard…

Now is the winter of their discontent made glorious summer by this sun of Cairo.

Has Hillary Clinton been made a fool of again? I rather doubt it. Hillary Clinton’s most trusted and consistently visible adviser is Huma Abedin. The two are joined at the hip. Abedin is, to put it bluntly, the Muslim Brotherhood’s “diplomatic” arm or OUR State Department.

A boil on the buttocks of diplomacy between the United States and our allies.

Abedin’s ties to the Muslim Brotherhood go much deeper than ideology. They are familiar ties and deeply rooted.

It is inconceivable to me that Abedin knew nothing of the planned power grab by Egypt’s Morsi and therefore, inconceivable that Clinton didn’t know.

We knew this would happen years ago.

Our Emperor, Obama, gave the Muslim Brotherhood the VIP treatment when he started his World Condemnation of America Tour back in 2009. Obama spoke in Cairo, the Brotherhood sat up front and, at the end of the speech, in Arabic, Obama said he was one of them.

With Cairo’s Tahrir Square filled with angry protesters, our Emperor said that Mubarak had to go.

Then, said the Emperor, the Muslim Brotherhood deserved a seat at the table in the formation of a NEW Egyptian government.

The Muslim Brotherhood claimed they would NOT seek the presidency…

Not only did they seek the presidency, the Muslim Brotherhood WON the Egyptian presidency.

Hillary Clinton, with Abedin at her side, said that the Muslim Brotherhood was worthy of our support.

We had seen it coming for years and we were told by liberal/socialists that we were making something of nothing, we were just trying to scare people, we were blind to reality.

Now, the first “democratically” elected president of Egypt has become their first democratically elected Pharaoh.

Obama is OUR first “democratically” elected Emperor.

They come as a set and yes, we saw that coming too.

Egypt, under the Pharaoh Morsi, has aligned with Iran and threatens Israel.

As rockets flew from Gaza into Israel, It was Morsi who wanted a “brokered” cease fire.

The Pharaoh wanted to stop the escalation before Israel launched a ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza in order to preserve Hamas’ ability to launch more rockets when the time comes that Israel comes to blows with Iran over Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

Now, less than a week later, Morsi grants HIMSELF sweeping powers.

He decrees that HE is now exempt from ANY judicial review and from the panel authoring a new Egyptian constitution. Morsi has also exempted himself from the Egyptian House of Parliament and, he has given himself the power to enact ANY measures which HE deems necessary to deal with any “threat” he sees to Egypt’s “revolution.”

According to Morsi, “We are going ahead and no one can stop our march. We are not a fragile nation and I am carrying my duty for the sake of God and my country. I take my decisions after consulting with everybody.”

Does this sound familiar?

“We are going ahead and no one can stop our march.”

Obama’s campaign slogan was, “Forward.”

Morsi says: “We are not a fragile nation and I am carrying my duty for the sake of God and my country.”

In enacting the Dream Act by decree, Obama stated, “Effective immediate, the Department of Homeland Security is taking steps to lift the shadow of deportation from these young people. This is not amnesty. This is not immunity. This is not a path to citizenships. It’s not a permanent fix. It is the right thing to do.”

He did it for his country.

Morsi states: “I take my decisions after consulting with everybody.”

And how many times have we heard Obama say that HE is willing to listen to all sides, compromise, hear opposing plans and then, he simply does what he wanted to do all along?

To us, the blind who can see with 20/20 vision, Morsi and Obama sound a good deal alike.

Keep in mind that one of Morsi’s new self-granted powers is to ignore judicial review and also keep in mind Obama’s warning to the Supreme Court in the days leading up to the Obamacare decision:

“And I’d just remind conservative commentators that, for years, what we have heard is, the biggest problem on the bench was judicial activism, or a lack of judicial restraint, that an unelected group of people would somehow overturn a duly constituted and passed law.”

Last August, the Pharaoh Morsi exerted his control over Egypt’s military in a move seen then, and confirmed now, as one to bolster his move towards a full dictatorship. Morsi forced the “retirement” of his defense minister, the army chief of staff and a handful of senior generals. Days later, General Hassan al-Rawini, a council member and head of the Egyptian Army’s Central Command resigned in protest of the Morsi power move.

Over here…

Petraeus resigned…General John Allen is on the edge of the abyss…General Ham was relieved of duty as was Rear Admiral Gaouette.

Now, The Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, may well be replaced.

Coincidences?

There are no such things in politics.

In Egypt however, Morsi sounds a great deal like someone else.

There, he sounds just like Mubarak.

Mubarak placed “temporary” powers over the people that lasted decades and Morsi has now enacted those exact same sweeping powers and, like Mubarak, the new Pharaoh claims they are “temporary” measures.

It was those very “temporary” powers of Mubarak which ultimately led to hundreds of thousands of Egyptians taking over Tahrir Square in the Arab Spring.

Will the Emperor now call for the Pharaoh to step down?

After all, THIS is NOT that for which they voted. They did NOT vote for MORE “temporary” powers. They did NOT vote for another dictator. They did NOT vote for further suppression.

The Muslim Brotherhood and the new Pharaoh have made it clear that THEY want the Israel/Egypt peace accord eliminated. The Pharaoh has made it clear that HE stands with Iran. Hamas is a military arm OF the Muslim Brotherhood and now, the people of Egypt are once again under the dictatorship of one who has no need to be held accountable to anyone but himself.

Hillary Clinton will say whatever she is told to say either by Huma Abedin or by the Emperor’s closest adviser, Valerie Jarrett whose ties to Iran are as strong as Abedin’s are to the Muslim Brotherhood.

And so, again, the streets of Cairo and Tahrir Square fill with angry crowds. Those who want better for their country and for themselves than to live under the suppression of a Pharaoh. Violence has already begun. Tear gas has been fired into the crowd and more will be forthcoming.

What’s it like to be “elected” by the people and then appoint yourself the dictator?

Ask Morsi.

Ask Obama.

It will get worse before it gets even worse yet.

  2. This is a very good article, and lays out pretty much what a lot of people have known, or feared would happen.
    So, how do we repel the onslaught of the marauding gang of evil murderous thugs that our president supports?
    We start at the local level. Elect a real sheriff, to start. A man or woman who understands the power of the office will go a long way towards protecting our freedoms at the local level. About 1% of the population of this country is in the military, and how many of those take their oath seriously and will refuse to attack Americans? That leaves 99% of us – most of whom believe in the American Ideal. We can’t lose. Peace. Robert Walker

  3. Interesting take on this. I saw a great deal of conjecture and outright lies from the article, however. For example, you made claims that Hillary Clinton was just a mouthpiece for the Muslim Brotherhood, but didn’t back those claims up with known real facts. You seemed to almost purposely forget other facts, and tried to tie in several other unrelated themes. While I understand that fear mongering actually does have a useful purpose, facts really will destroy that fear.

      One would hope that someone with DR. in front of their name would have the ability to connect simple dots.

      It was Hillary Clinton who pledged the United States full “support the democratically elected government and to help make it a success in delivering results for the people of Egypt.”

      The FACT that the Muslim Brotherhood is tied with both Hamas AND Iran would indicate that:
      A) Hillary is complicit in pledging U.S. Support to OUR and our ALLIES enemies…
      B) Hillary is a blithering idiot if she did NOT realize the above fact…
      c) Hillary was doing nothing more than what she was advised to do by either Abedin, Obama (via Jarrett) or by the Muslim Brotherhood directly.

      Why else WOULD her most trusted and closest adviser be someone with direct family ties TO the Muslim Brotherhood? If advisers are NOT there to provide ADVICE…for what other reason WOULD Abedin be attached to Hillary’s hip?

      The socialists use of “fear mongering” is old, tired and as apt as their use of the race card.

      There is no “fear mongering” going on. In case you haven’t noticed, the election is over and we have another 4 years of the Emperor.

      That Abedin IS a part of the Muslim Brotherhood due to her family ties and she IS Hillary’s closest adviser and Hillary HAS pledged support TO The new Pharaoh and his Muslim Brotherhood party…are FACTS.
