Don’t Waste the Tea Party Mandate

There WAS a mandate won in this election and it belongs, I believe, to the Tea Party but we’re in danger of drowning it out.

Yesterday was interesting for us on social media.

While most either received our article enthusiastically, there were some just too deflated to muster up the fighting spirit.

There were however, a handful of “also ran” supporters who were just hopping mad.

At me…

For supporting not their particular candidate.

Here’s a prime example:

Samm Tittle ANOTHER BSer. YOUR NAME IS ON OUR SWEAT BOARD RIGHT THIS MINUTE. BELIEVE THE ONLY WOMAN HISPANIC EVANGELICAL W/TIES TO THE BLACK COMMUNITY REACHED OUT TO YOU AND YOU COULD HAVE REALIZED HER STRENGTH TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TODAY. NO .. YOU ARE STUCK WITH THIS PRESIDENT DESTROYER AND YOU WANT US TO READ YOUR WHAT? THE ONLY PATRIOT THAT WAS RUNNING IN THE RACE FOR REAL WAS AND IS SAMM TITTLE. LEAVING SO I WON’T SAY MEAN THINGS TO YOU. YOU MIGHT HAVE HAD THE RIGHT INTENTION BUT YOU BLEW IT TOO.

Craig Andresen As I told you in our phone conversation Samm…Run for Congress. Your idesa are sound but your presidential campaign just wasn’t national enough. You can still help turn this country around from congress and I urge you to do so.

Samm Tittle BTW THIS IS DONALD JEMMERSON AND YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE. AND THERE ARE ALOT OF JERKS SO DON’T FEEL LONELY. FOOLS WHO HAVE WOKEN UP TO THE REALITY THAT SAMM WAS ALWAYS THE ANSWER. EVEN ROMNEY THOUGHT SO.

Charming fellow isn’t he?

This, I believe, is a microcosm of what we, as conservatives, must face up to.

Here’s the deal…

Had every single person who voted for Romney instead voted for Samm Tittle…Samm Tittle would have lost and Obama would still be the Emperor.

Had everybody who voted for Romney instead voted for Ron Paul…Paul would have lost and Obama would still be the emperor.

Had every Romney vote instead have been cast for Gary Johnson…Our collective Johnson would be at half-mast and Obama would still be the Emperor.

I believe, with an electron microscope, if one could locate each and every vote cast or written in for each and every individual “other than Romney” candidate, they would not add up to a single electoral vote so…while they no doubt HELPED Obama, they didn’t actually cost us the white house.

The problem is clear and this is not the first time I’ve brought it up.

As Republicans, we are in danger of being too splintered now to win a hog calling contest which puts us in grave danger of being overrun by Islamists.

I am firm in my belief that it is the Tea Party which holds the key to future conservative success and thus, the rebuilding of our Republic and not your grandfather’s Oldsmobile GOP establishment.

It’s not so much the GOP’s fault that we nominated Mitt Romney as we clearly share in the blame.

While I understand completely the grassroots nature of a Tea Party which encourages individual thought, the problem becomes apparent when each and every individual has a slightly or greatly different thought. We all want to reach the same goal but, it seems we all want to follow vastly different paths to get there.

We need a platform solid enough as to not be chipped away at by those who will, to their very last mirror fogging breath, adhere to their one and only possible candidate tighter than a hemorrhoid to a vinyl seat cover at a nudist colony.

Clearly, in the 2010 midterms, it was the Tea Party leading the parade but the 2012 presidential election was muscled by the GOP establishment and the two just don’t mix well.

We have 4 years to get it all together and, as far as I’m concerned, the GOP establishment can either come along for the ride or they can chase grandpa’s Olds the wrong way down a one way street.

We need to do a much, MUCH better job of identifying congressional candidates so that we don’t throw away senate seats like we did a couple of nights ago.

As Tea Party Patriots, WE need to let go of some of our individual pet peeves and pet issues and focus instead on the BIG topics. There are far more than enough BIG issues to deal with…the economy, tax structures, immigration, the debt, national security, energy, the military, restructuring Medicare and Social Security so it will be there when we need it and beyond and business friendly legislation which will promote job growth as well as constitutionalist judges before we start delving into social issues and drones spying on cows.

If we exert the control we did in 2010 and elect the best possible candidates to congress in 2014, they, along with the very best we have already seated now, can tackle the BIGGIES and show success…by 2016 we can write our own ticket to jump on the rest of it from the full control of the congress AND the white house.

Before ya know it, all those individual mountains of personal pet issues will become mole hills.

It’s also high time we have a coming to Jesus revival. That’s NOT Jesus the carpenter it’s HAY-SUSE the Hispanic voter. I’m talking about the “minority” voting bloc that, right now, is controlled by socialists who have never done a damned thing FOR them.

We MUST make serious inroads into the black and Hispanic communities and as fate would have it…We have exactly the right people already in place to do it.  We have black and Hispanic Members of Congress, Governors and a great conservative crayon box full of colors on social media and conservative media.

TURN THEM LOOSE and let them stand at the already open doors and usher in the people. For far too long, we’ve let socialists define our standing in those communities and it’s just pure bull crap. Ours has been an open and welcoming party since Abe Lincoln and a new Tea PARTY can redefine what has been a false narrative, propagated by socialists for a century.

Same for the female vote.

Young College Republican clubs on campuses are a GREAT resource and should be more active in bring more women and minorities into the fold.

And the message. We MUST tighten the Tea Party message and articulate it clearly.

Look…We need to get into lock-step with our message and our candidates before its too late and, before anybody starts berating me over that…Keep in mind…There’s a WORLD of difference between being in LOCK-STEP and goose stepping across Red Square on May Day.

The Tea Party IS the future of the Republican Party but ONLY if we stop splintering ourselves and come together. Every different Tea Party organization seems to have a different set of issues, a different set of ideas on how to make things work and different one and only candidates.

To become the true force we must become and that we’re positioned to become, we have to come together under one umbrella with a cohesive platform and direction.

If we can’t come together as Patriot Conservatives…We will always be out muscled on the presidential elections and we’re bound to be stuck on an endless loop of election cycles like the one we just limped away from on Tuesday.

So…I didn’t vote for or promote Samm Tittle and one of her minions got all upset yesterday.

Ron Paul’s followers got upset at everybody. Gary Johnson’s minions were yelling at Herman Cain’s supporters and some of Sarah Palin’s people were mad at those who wrote in Pawlenty. Newt’s army was jumping down the throats of….and on and on it went while socialists sat back and smiled.

KNOCK IT OFF!!!

Get CONSTRUCTIVE and drop the differences between us as Tea Party Patriots.

WE…As Tea Party Patriots may well have the ONLY real mandate from this election on OUR side and we can’t afford to squander it.

Here’s the mandate in a nutshell…

In the 2010 midterms we did it the Tea Party way.

Tuesday night, we did it the establishment GOP way.

The results speak for themselves but what are WE doing?

We’re drowning out our own clear mandate with the same bickering we engaged in BEFORE the election.

Who benefits from that?

The GOP establishment because, as long as we can’t come together before or after a presidential election they have a clear path to push moderate candidates to the nomination and the socialists because they can beat those candidates. They beat Dole, Bush 41 out of a 2nd term, McCain and Romney.

  1. I honestly voted for Romney-Ryan I was excited about it < I wanted Heman Cain Mr 999 we and the use to be Republic , needed that radical thought it all out and keep the Constitution I am A C C C Conservative Catholic Christian , the only thing to be if you are GOP , is Conservative I gave up on the GOP when Allan Keys was not elected President in 2002 < I am an independent , but I wanted a true Conservative , I gave up on the government , We are not a Republic now , we are 100% true,, Communist Dcitarship it is coming Obama is A true Radical Marxist and we are all gong to our grave ,, no money no house nothing , he is a clear and very real danger , but the tea Patrty could show solidarity by 5 or so million marching in peace and demonstration hope Beck and Huckabee gong to lead and alveda king and DOlan, we can do a lot in a day,

  2. Craig, you have really nailed it and identified the core problem with the Tea Party. Tea Party needs to get it’s act together and take over the GOP who are old and worn out. They took on the Chicago machine who were clearly, more highly organized on the ground, both this time and last. We lost by demographics. There are plenty of very qualified people in each demographic, to take over and lead each, as a cohesive force. Just have a look at the speakers at the GOP convention for starters. I have no idea what Gary Johnston thought he was trying to accomplish, but it is obvious, he is not a team player. Ron Paul is a true American patriot but I am saddened that he cannot give up on some of his radical, off the wall, ideas and fall in line with the rest of the conservative base. Don’t know if they can be coaxed into line or not. Any way you cut it, conservatives as a whole, cannot continue down the splintered path we have been on, for far too long. Re. Allen West, I hope he is able to prevail in his fight. Looks like the Socialist machinery threw tidal flood at him. Keep up the good work Craig!

  3. Craig, I think you hit in a very important problem that we have within the Tea Party. That is not knowing which candidates are solid Tea Party Patriots. I for one would like to know. I can only make a sound decision based on the knowledge I posess. What do you think of Allen West? I feel, at this point, and although rough right now, that he has all the right attributes to run in the next election providing he is elected upon the recount and gains a little more expereince? I could be all wet there and if I am, I expect someone to correct me.

    • Ray,

I think VERY highly of Allen West and would cast my vote for him with pride!!!

      Craig

  4. My 8x great-grandfather, Patrick Henry would be appalled at the events of today, Craig!!! I grieved for my country yesterday as if it were gone forever. This message was timely and reassuring that we do have hope to move forward. We have two years to start refining out message in order to give him another “shellacking” in 2014!!!! Sounds like it is a long way off, but it is going to take that much time to get our act together. There has to be a way to hone the message and get it into the groups you defined to help them see the truth and know what is at stake. I will do all I can to help motivate others….my problem is weeding out all the hype right now and focusing on the right “theme” for others to see. We don’t have too many months before our next shot at victory comes about. Who is best able at this time to define our platform???? You point the way, Craig, and I will follow and bring my friends with me. Somehow, with God’s help, maybe we can turn this thing around!!!! Thanks, Craig……… (Oh, just for the record, I’m being bombarded with new 2016 Presidential ads by people who are already running, like the Sam Tittle you mentioned!!! I’m marvelling already!!!!) Thanks again, Craig………Valli

P.S. May I print excerpts of this as a status to get the ball rolling??? I will surely give you the credit, but let me know before I do so. I’m for getting it right this time…..and your valid points need to be made known to those who don’t take the time to read this. I think you have laid this plan out well. Let me know….thanks!! 😉

  5. The Tea Party is not a political party, but a political movement. The Federal Government as it is today, is bogus. There is no foundation. The Constitution that is the Foundational Document, followed the Declaration of Independence. It is of paramount importance that we understand those two documents, and the real political history of the United States and the world.
We must take over the local governments by electing the right people to the local governments. This was intended to be a bottom up type of governance, not a top down governance. The created can never be greater than the Creator.
    Peace, Robert Walker

  6. Good article one again, Craig, and excellent comments. The adminstration didn’t fear the Tea Party because it isn’t a threat. It made lots of noise, but presented no combined purpose and plan from all parts of the nation. I wish I knew how to change it, but there are people (like you) who have the ability to unite. Lack of unity did us in.

  7. Great, great article and agree on all points! As a Tea Party Patriot, my husband and I attended the two large Tea Party rallies with our young sons.
We are 100% behind the Tea Party’s efforts but for us, we find that it is disorganized.
The party needs to have a clear outline. We subscribe to many email newsletters that say they are the Tea Party but they are all different.
We need one hub that everything trickles down from.
It needs to be clear: who do we go to for answers, what website do we call up to find the Tea Party rally or meeting near us, that sort of thing.
If this already exists, then the word isn’t getting down to us (who find this frustrating) so work needs to be done in getting organized.
This election two days ago should be a huge wake up call that truly doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results defines insanity.
The GOP establishment needs to get on board or jump off the bus.

  8. We didn’t stand a chance of winning with states like Oregon having 800-thousand more voters than they had residents. The election was stolen, but I too, ticked off a few people yesterday. I requested those that voted third party or voted for Obama to leave my list as I do not associate with traitors. This whole mess has been tragedy but we still have the Bill of Rights which gives us the authority to take back our government, by force if necessary. As the daughter of a WWII veteran and the mother of an Iraqi veteran, I’m not sure why we’re sitting still taking this crap.
