The imagery used by Clint Eastwood is starting to sink in….and it’s brilliant. And the left is fanning the flames with their ridicule of an 82 year old icon.

Empty chair = empty suit = Obama. And the “when somebody doesn’t do the job we’ve got to let them go” will resonate across many different kinds of voters.

Let the Eastwooding continue – the imagery will work in favor of Romney/Ryan. And no doubt as that sinks in for the left there will many vile responses. That is great – I’m from WI and saw first hand how disgusting behavior helped Gov. Walker handily win the June recall.

Indeed Clint Eastwood is crazy…..like a fox.

IMHO, here is the whole deal in a nutshell about this election. We are not going to convert traditional Dem. voters to our side. This battle is going to be won by convincing the 15% of the electorate that are easily swayed by the Flavor of the Month. In that vein, we need to not be drawn in by personal attacks, Like I was recently. Check you facts before presenting your case. Read accusations from liberal publications, THAT is what you will be asked about. Have links ready to pass on. We are going to be called liars at any turn, so be ready with the truth. If Parables are your thing try a variation of this logic:
If your car is broken you take it to a mechanic you like. He says he will fix it. A day goes by and you check on it. He says we’re working on it. Another day goes by, same answer. A week goes by, he says he nearly has it fixed. then you get the call you have been waiting for. He says it’s fixed come get it and the bill will be ready. You write him a check for way more than you expected, but you’re just relieved to have your car back. You exchange smiles, get in the car and discover he has not fixed the problem. You march back in and the mechanic assures you that he will try again and he thought it was fixed. What do you do? Any reasonable would demand their check back, and find another mechanic.
Keep a cool head, folks meet hate speech with logic and tell the antagonist you resent the “hate speech” he just just used. Let him go off on you. Any fence sitters will soon see who the crazy one in the conversation is.
Avoid using Party slogans the left have been schooled on how to attack those. State facts give a source if asked or get back to them.
Facts: I have used Fact Check .org on several occasions. be leery of them. Its funded by a Chicago based tax free organization called Annenberg Public Policy Center . Board members have included Bill Ayers and Barack Obama. Look it up on Wikipedia.

Craig, all the leftest bloggers and pundits stepped right over the “Empty Chair” metaphor and its significance and went right to the “Aged” theme. They are all probably candidates for the Medicare death panels. Thank you for pointing it out. And great job on the title montage vs message.
We miss you in Nebraska. When you’re ready for more of the good life we’re just 18 hrs 1 min / 1162.27 miles NE of you. The drought has put some cracks through our state that would rival that hole you call a canyon. )

Clint Eastwood is an American icon and patriot and deserves nothing but praise for his speech at the convention. He was there as Clint Eastwood, the man, the concerned citizen and not Dirty Harry, without teleprompters and an unscripted speech and he got it said beautifully. Clint, you certainly made my day!
