The Battle Hymn of the 2012 Election

Over the weekend, I was struck by the words of Paul Ryan at a rally in Manassas Virginia.

It was how he opened his comments.

What he said has been the clarion call of conservatives since the 2010 midterm election.

As the music played at each rally announcing Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney’s running mate, I could help but think…

We need an anthem. No…We need a battle song.

What we DON:T need is a rehashed song bent and twisted to meet the need. Any old song will do if that’s the criteria.

What we need is a  song, written by someone who feels the way WE do. A song which expresses OUR clarion call.

We need a song which speaks directly to US, of who WE are and to what WE must do.

It needs to be a song OF the People, BY the People and FOR the people.

That’s why, when I heard Paul Ryan’s opening words in Manassas on Saturday…I knew EXACTLY what our song should be.

If you are not yet familiar with Ava Aston…You should be.

A while back, I found the song that she wrote and it shook me to the core.

If you missed our National Patriot interview with Ava a while back, you can find it here.

Paul Ryan’s words made me sit straight up and if you were watching that rally, I suspect you did as well. It brought Ava’s song right back into my head and I knew…

I KNEW that was the song.

Ava is an award winning song writer and her voice will penetrate your sole. She produces her own music and does her own marketing. Ava is chasing the American Dream and you better believe…She’s building it HERSELF!!!

Ava’s song, “We The People” is OUR song for this election and beyond!!!!

If you go to her website, you can download her music and I encourage you to do so. When you do…YOU are supporting a great American singer and songwriter. YOU…not the government.

Now…Ava’s video for “We The People” is at her site and I want YOU to go there at the link provided at the end of this article however, I spoke with Ava a couple days ago and asked her permission to do a little something with “We The People.”

I wanted to add in images that reflect the situation as we head into the final weeks of this election and, I wanted Paul Ryan’s words in there.

When she said, “Go for it,” I was off and running.

Here’s what I think WE The People need to do.

Let’s get this song into the hands of the Romney/Ryan campaign!!!

Tell them that THIS is our song. THIS is the music which THEY need to play at every appearance and rally.

We The People can put Ava Aston ON THE MAP!!!

“We The People” is grassroots. It’s real. It speaks to our present AND our future. It’s a STATEMENT and it’s rock solid.

“We The People.”

How cool would it be, if We The People started a grassroots movement to have THIS song, “We The People” played at the Convention in Tampa???

Can We The People go a step beyond??? Can We The People convince the Romney/Ryan campaign to have Ava Aston PERFORM, “We The People” AT the Convention???

Listen to the words, you’ll feel what I felt and pay attention to The National Patriot version of the video…Especially the last part and…You’ll KNOW this is THE song for this election!!!

Now…PLEASE go to Ava’s website, missionwethepeople and download this great song!!!!!

  1. great idea, but but anthems needs energy, power, excitement.
this song/ video, while very lovely , has none of the WOW factor that a campaign needs.

the effort needs confidence, energy, can-do, not a nice, slow sentimental ballad.
very nice effort, but I would definitely NOT recommend this song as a rallying cry.

  2. Great song and a message that MUST be heard! Spread it around!

  3. Thank you for writing this Craig, there is nothing more humbling as a song writer… Because we write songs to get the feeling out of us. However when we hear how much a song affects people from their own words – there is not words to describe it. I guess it tells me I’m doing my job right, but wow. Just wow… thank you for your support. It means the world to me.

    God Bless.
    Ava 🙂 xox
