On Principle and In Fact, AKIN MUST GO!!!

In The most important election since 1860, a great deal is at stake.

To be clear, it’s not just the white house.

In order to start the process of taking our nation back, restoring the principles of our founders and framers, congress is equally as important as the presidency.

With the House currently controlled by conservatives, the urgency to keep it that way is pressing.

Also pressing is the need to swing control of the Senate from a liberal majority to a conservative majority.

There seems to be little doubt as to the House remaining in the control of conservatives but, each and every seat up for grabs in the Senate is crucial.

There is something else of a crucial nature which must be brought forward.

We, as conservatives, must NOT allow a candidate for ANY seat, be a candidate which compromises Conservative principles.

Missouri Rep. Todd Akin, vying for a crucial Senate seat MUST END HIS CANDIDACY IMMEDIATELY!!!

In a recent interview, Akin spoke about pregnancies occurring from rape and stated, “It seems to me first of all, from what I understand from doctors, that’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.”

That statement is so clearly wrong, so contemptible and so utterly stupid, it defies rational thought.

The very idea that there are differing categories of rape is is absurd. “legitimate???” As opposed to what exactly???

What happens when the female body fails to shut that whole thing down?

Now, Akin has issued apologies.

“Rape is an evil act. I used the wrong words in the wrong way and for that I apologize. As the father of two daughters, I want tough justice for predators. I have a compassionate heart for the victims of sexual assault. And I pray for them. The fact is, rape can lead to pregnancy. The truth is, rape has many victims.”

“The mistake I made was in the words I said, not in the heart I hold. I ask for your forgiveness.”

Really?

Does Akin really believe that a “walk-back” apology cuts it after making such bazaar statement to begin with?

In his apology, Akin says the opposite of what he stated in his original comment. Doe he think THAT erases the original statement?

Apparently, he does.

He is dead wrong.

I submit that the republican party, in an election or any other year, does NOT need a candidate, a representative or a senator who expresses such beliefs.

If we are to run and legislate from a basis of principle, we must not stand for this!!!

Akin has been pressured to step down from his candidacy.

Donors and Super PACs have pulled their financial support.

For his part, just hours ago, Akin told Huckabee in a radio interview, that he would STAY IN THE RACE.

Allow me to express the conservative viewpoint.

AKIN…GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS RACE!!!

We don’t need you.

We don’t WANT you…

AND WE WILL NOT COMPROMISE OUR PRINCIPLES OR OUR STANDARDS FOR YOU!!!!!

Despite what YOU consider to be a “heartfelt” apology you are WITHOUT SHAME as you insist on remaining in this race.

As you BEG forgiveness…YOU ARE BEGGING IT FROM THE WRONG SOURCE!!!

It is NOT the republican party nor the voters of Missouri to whom you need to seek forgiveness.

In fact, it is NOT even the victims of rape or women in general, both groups whom you, with your comments, slapped squarely across the face to whom you need to grovel.

YOUR COMMENTS WERE AN AFFRONT TO THE LAWS OF NATURE AS DETERMINED BY THE CREATOR AND IT IS THERE YOU SHOULD SEEK FORGIVENESS!!!

Rape is rape Mr. Akin and it certainly can cause pregnancy.

Saying the opposite of what you originally stated and calling it an apology shows you are more interested in saving your career than restoring our nation.

Mr. Akin…YOU are NO LONGER WELCOME as a candidate in the party OF THE PEOPLE and YOU MUST GO!!!

This is not about political expediency nor is it about winning. This is about what is and is not acceptable.

Mr. Akin…Your comments were NOT acceptable, categorizing levels of rape is not acceptable, your apologies are NOT accepted and your further candidacy is intolerable!!!

There is NO doubt in my mind that the fine state of Missouri can find a replacement candidate who embodies the sense and sensibilities inherent in the principles conservatives.

The National Patriot firmly calls on Akin to leave this race and to do so at once.

We also suggest that Mitt Romney call for Akin’s self removal from the race.

If, by 5pm CST, Akin has failed to do so, we believe it is incumbent upon Romney to insist that the RNC remove Akin from contention and for the state of Missouri to replace him with a proper candidate.

Winning the Missouri Senate seat is secondary.

Upholding principle is mandatory!!!!

  1. Sorry, Craig, you are the one who is not being factual. He never said that a raped woman could not get pregnant. Rape is not the same for every instance. For example statutory rape is not the same as violent rape. Statutory rape could be with the consent of both parties involved. Violent rape certainly has one person not consenting. The fact of the matter is less then 5% of raped women get pregnant. The fact of the matter is also that women under stress quite often abort their eggs. Ask any OBGYN. Quite often women athletes stop menstruating because of the stress to their bodies. You are the one who needs to do some research.

  2. Drop out now. You have made a fool of yourself. Senator McCaskill will eat you for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.

Please recommend that Sarah Steelman take your place.

    Thank you.
