Is Joe Biden “Good Enough??”

“Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That’s critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy, because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us.”

Ahhh…the words of Joe Biden.

Perhaps Biden should ask those who wear the uniform. Maybe he should ask those who actually fight for freedom and the rights we enjoy in this nation.

The Taliban is not…”Per Se” our enemy?

Was it NOT the Taliban who gave shelter to those who schemed the attacks of 9-11?

IS it not the Taliban who today are the ones responsible for most of the attacks on our service men and women in Afghanistan?

The answer to BOTH questions above is…Yes.

If those who provided safe harbor to the planners of 9-11 and who now attack our soldiers are not, “Per Se” the enemy…WHO IS????

Mr. Biden?

Bueller? Bueller???

Biden went on to state that, it’s “good enough” for the U.S. if Afghanistan stops being a “haven for people who do damage and have as a target the United States of America” and its allies.

It’s… “Good enough???”

The Vice President and this failing and flailing administration are willing to settle for… “Good enough???”

Perhaps Biden should ask those who fight and have lost their brothers and sisters in arms if “Good enough” is…good enough.

Maybe Biden should ask the families of those who have only photos and letters by which to remember loved ones who died over there if “Good enough” is really, good enough.

Maybe, just maybe, Biden should ask the friends and families of those lost on 9-11 if… “Good enough” is indeed good enough.

When in this nation’s great history HAS good enough been good enough?

Was it good enough just to sail to a new land but to continue to be subjects of the throne?

Was it good enough when we were just 13 states?

Was it good enough to allow the southern states to maintain slavery?

Was it good enough to sit out two world wars?

When, exactly, Mr. Biden, has good enough been good enough?

Good enough to send a man into space but not to the moon before the end of that same decade?

Were covered wagons good enough?

Well, Mr Biden?

Bueller? Bueller???

Of the Taliban, Biden went further by saying, “While we are fighting them, it is not the elimination — the elimination of the Taliban is not the issue here.”

Seriously, Mr. Biden?

“While we are fighting them…”

If NOT to eliminate them, why ARE we fighting them, Mr. Biden?

IF our military is fighting, they are fighting an enemy and if they are fighting an enemy, should they not be fighting to defeat that enemy?

If the elimination of the Taliban is NOT the issue… what IS the issue Mr. Biden?

Bueller? Bueller?????

If it is, as Biden and thus this sorry administration states, “Good Enough” to simply stop Afghanistan from being a “haven for people who do damage and have as a target the United States of America,” and eliminating the Taliban who has TAKEN haven in Afghanistan is NOT the issue, then isn’t this the same as saying…

This administration doesn’t really care WHERE the terrorist sheltering Taliban goes as long as they leave Afghanistan? This administration doesn’t really care where those who are currently attacking and killing our soldiers go as long as they leave Afghanistan?

That is EXACTLY what they are saying.

Just like the politically set time table to remove all our troops from Iraq, this sorry excuse for an administration also has a political time table for leaving Afghanistan. 2014 is the preset date. That time table is “good enough” regardless of the reality on the ground.

It’s insane.

On the pathetic shale of 1-10, 10 being the most pathetic, this administration’s foreign policy and their strategy of conducting operations against our enemies is, at the very least, a 20.

Nobody is happier to hear the words of Joe Biden than our enemies.

Our enemies, of which the Taliban is one, are not about to settle for “Good enough,” they are hell bent on our destruction and the destruction of our allies. Our enemies will continue their bent well after we settle for good enough unless they are eliminated.

Nobody is happier to hear that they are not, “Per se” our enemies than…our enemies, of which the Taliban is one.

Nobody was happier to see our troops leave Iraq than Iran. Nobody was happier to hear “Mubarak must go” than the Muslim Brotherhood. Nobody was happier to hear, “Gadaffi must go” than al Qaeda whose flag now flies over the court house in Benghazi Libya.

The words and actions of this administration, with their heads firmly implanted in their keesters, do nothing but embolden our enemies.

One need look no farther back in time to Jimmy Carter to see a prime example of how this works.

Iran held our people hostage while Carter flopped and flailed about and after a botched rescue attempt, Carter’s attitude was pretty much, “Well, we tried.”

It wasn’t until Ronald Reagan was inaugurated that Iran set those hostages free. Why then? Because they knew there was a new sheriff in town and one who’s actions would be as tough as his words.

Reagan wasn’t going to settle for “Good enough” and our enemies knew it.

Reagan knew who our enemies were and he wasn’t afraid to say it.

“Good enough” back then would have been trying to play nice with Iran but that wasn’t going to be Reagan’s way. “Good enough” back then would have been trying to negotiate the Soviet Union out of the cold war but that wasn’t Reagan’s way either.

“Good enough” would have been a benign speech at the Berlin wall where caution and not inflammatory words would have sufficed. Reagan told Gorbachev to “TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!”

This is the United States of America and it is NOT “Good enough” to not know who our enemies are.

This is the United States of America and it’s not “Good enough” to settle for “Good enough.”

THIS is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and anybody who thinks “Good enough” is good enough IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO LEAD A NATION OR ITS ARMED FORCES.

THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND ANYONE WHO THINKS THE TEA PARTY IS THE TERRORISTS AND THE TALIBAN ISN’T, “PER SE” OUR ENEMY AND IT’S GOOD ENOUGH IF THEY SIMPLY RELOCATE ISN’T FIT TO BE A HEARTBEAT AWAY FROM BEING THE HEAD DOG CATCHER MUCH LESS THE PRESIDENCY!!!

  1. Good article Craig and one I agree with! As far as I am concerned Biden is VP because he is so dumb and Obama can put anything past him without him even knowing it! Biden is and has always been a nutcase!

  2. This just proves to me that this man has never had an original thought in his life and when he does ..he’s “DANGEROUS!” PASS THIS BIDEN CRAP ON TO EVERY PATRIOTIC AMERICAN WHO HAS FOUGHT TO KEEP THIS HIGH BROW PIECE OF MUD LIVING LARGELY IN THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE OTHERS FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT SO THAT HE MIGHT LIVE AND DINE IN STYLE WHILE OTHERS WERE DYEING ON THE BATTLE FIELD FIGHTING HIS GOOD FRIENDS WHO AREN’T SO BAD. THESE GOOD FRIENDS HAVE BEEN ATTACKING OUR MILITARY FOR YEARS AND ALL YOU CAN SAY IS THEY ARE NOT THE BAD GUYS. HAVE YOU TALKED TO YOUR SON WHO SERVED FOR A SHORT TIME IN AFGHANISTAN AND WAS RELIEVED OF HIS DUTY HONORABLY BECAUSE CONDTIONS WERE NOT EXACTLY AFFORDABLE IN A WORN TORN AREA OF FALLEN COMRADES AND CIVILIANS. YOU OWE EVERY AMERICAN SOLDIER AN APOLOGY ‘SIR!”
